Use very simple and widely used communication device to contact each other. Make sure the technology used for communication are appropriate for the task undertaken.Pure information sharing obviously requires a much lower complexity of technology

what is effective and what is user- friendly should not be over - used ..

 

my experience also says ... it encroaches the privacy of an individual by using the technology or gadget in an indiscipline manner ...

so a disciplined use should equally be encouraged

Simple and widely used technology, it can be telephone calls or e-mail. It will be better if team mates use these technologies for communication weekly

Sharing information proactively

As we all know members of the virtual team are from different location, they all may not speak the same language.Team members must develop a mutual understanding of what knowledge or information to share and when, to enable the team to make decisions or draw conclusions.But they should make sure that the information is communicated successfully.

VERY TRUE ... but at the same times .. ppl overlook to filter the garbage ... i mean the redundant and repeated information .. this is where a good MIS is handy and crucial

WHAT IS THIS OFTEN BUSINESS .. there has to be some discipline in communication ... "often" can easily become  too much , repeating
