I mean how many times have we said this in our meetings like Each customer is your brand ambassador, but then many times the very perspective behind this is forgotten as there will be complacency while in many aspects of marketing of a product and if a consumer feels that this product or this brand is not living up to its expectations why in the first place will he recommend it to others, what is that it is needed from a brand's perspective that it creates that WOM ( word of mouth ) culture among your customers. So keeping the basics right and with no compromise from start to the end I mean the experience customer gets from this brand from the ads to the in store experience and in the end till he experiences the product should be magical, and that will create virality and in turn will help making a brand go viral. |

I guess targeting the brand concious guys will be a better option. In todays time i feel especially the youths are brand concious and they are the one who can act as a virus for promoting any brand.

Very right Jayant...I am not from marketing....but common sense says....every satisfied customer is your marketing asset....
So make every customer satisfied...and morally he will become a brand ambassador for you....you cannot increase tools, methods and persons to make your brand viral...it is not efficient and effective as welll...
Better you make your customer infectious for your brand...Interesting subject...

I abolutely agree to it. Jo Dikhega wohi to bikega. then it depends on type of product and its users..mobile phones' features are more disscussed than wrist watches or the washing machines..Ultimately if the product is good, priced properly then it will go viral itself..we have a lot of 'free advice givers'..
Viral effect is spreading the positive / negative aspects of a product utility on a social platform and creating an effective consumer voice that endorses the successful utiltity of the said brand / product!!
Its like a one voice campaign that is unrestricted but based ion the first use, exposure or utility of a product / brand. That voice spreads l;ike wild fire and creates a snowball cof onversations or logs of these consumers that affects the survival potential of the said brand / product, is called a viral effect.
So for a brand to go viral, its first step is effective communication urging MORE usage. More usage has to begin with MORE buying and MORE buying begins with MORE visibility!!
Placement of products and pricing comes earlier.Becoming the brand ambassador comes later.When a customer is happy with the products that he purchases repeatedly, he becomes the brand ambassador. He will not bother about the price.He is having the feeling of having purchased the quality product and also feels the value for he has paid.
Why each customer is a brand ambassador... because when the customers feel the products/brands are in line with their taste, they will recommend it to others. Indeed, it is the creation of WOM among customers. If the recommendations/WOM are contagious, customers themselves will become a media to create viral and in turn will facilitate making a brand go viral.
Hence each customer is a brand ambassador

Viral is the modern expression of the traditional word of mouth. Every brand needs to have a strong consumer base which is like a strong foundation. This base acts as a very effective brand endorser for new consumer. For this strong base to remain intact one needs to satisfy the consumer expectations every time he or she buys into the product. But this base keeps increasing and shrinking because some consumers go out and some come in. Viral helps in giving an impartial feedback on the brands delivery vis -a vis its cost and promise that is communicated to them. A satisfied consumer is the best brand ambassador. |

hi jayanth garu. thank you for sending the question. and iam happy to participate on this topic. yes we see in privious days peoples are using local brand because of they are aware of that particular product and sotre we know meaning of brand. so every body using barand items but there is difference between local and international. when the product is good quality and satisfy the customer then no need to give infor mation about the product. becuase every customer is brand ambassdor they tell about the product. so i agree that wom is plying the major role to sell the brand product. thank you once again. this is jagan. |
