Look there is saying in english and it is used it ad industry very much." Have something to say, say it clearly and melodiously. Clearly at all cost and melodiously if possible". So my point is the message should be clear and to the point. If we can make it enternaining also than it is good. But in your trying to make it entertaining don't endup making a bad ad. Here by bad I mean It should have the moral values required for a good ad. |

Given that the consumer boom in future will come from class b and c cities, the clear and to the point message if it gives value to the customer will make good ROI. Uninor's latest Ads are good form that perspective
i think u r right .. there must be a visible cliarity that any one even an illliterate ppl also can understand very well what u wanna to say by showing the add & the real meaning in briff.& it must be attractive to the ppl of the user lobby...
Ya I am sporting the view "Clear and to the point message" somewhere creative and melodious add attract the people. People have very precious time and they want to see something which they likes. So the add must touch the heart. Proper cast selection is also kept in mind. Some catchy tune works out so nice. Thats all u can do to make an add to encourage the young people.

Eugene Schwartz writes “Copy cannot create desire for a product. It can only focus already-existing desires onto a particular product. The copywriter’s task is not to create this mass desire–but to channel and direct it.” |

Yes I agree with you Ms.Purvi Ghose.
The concept of right products for the right audience is the suitable one and will create good impact. other approaches may not yield.

any ad which is meaningful and easy to understand is always got the acceptance from the viewers. For youth i strongly believe features and little bit technical flavor will be well accepted.
further to this little bit different like the 'zozoo" campaign is also very much accepted among the youth but it might take little bit longer time.I think we can take learning from Docomo also as they are catering primarily on youth...

There are many instances of ads shown in television that r not relevant, meaningless and u hv to b very attentive to understand that what it has to convey.
A classical example of Bluestar or daikin ac i think, where they show a person walking in night towards his office to feel the cooling of his office. there r several reasons which makes this ad poor.
1. relevancy is poor, till the end u keep thinking that what the product is (i 1st thot that nind mei chalne ki bimari se chutkara paane k liye koi ilaaj mili) :)
2. concentrate a lot to understand what they r trying to show, one has to see it for more than 2-3 times to understand what they want to show and how they relate.
So, ad should be meaningful, relevant and easy to understand

It should be to the point at the same time bit humorous, like the zoo zoo's of vodafone or the docomo ad or simply Amul type or still remember the Lifebouy ad. In short it should be catchy.

Not being an ad person nor working for ad industry, I can only tell you about some of the recent ads that, according to me, were good. 1) “Uninor” – This is probably the first ad to convey the message to the youngster to have his/her own personal number. And each is short and conveys a message of aspiration and success. Especially targeted at the non-metro/smaller town youth. 2) “Samsung Guru Mobile” – This is a great feel good advertisement. It makes the youth more responsible at the same time very playful & joyous. Portrays the situations that a typical young Indian faces. 3) “TVS Ad - Wah wah mere bhai ke liye” – it is funny and it gives a sense of youthfulness where the responsible “Big Brother” who buys a bike for his brother, finally keeps the bike for himself because of the youthfulness it creates within him while riding it home. 4) SUN DTH – And then there was this “SUN DTH” ads featuring a Fatso and a Slim guy. Once in a bike ad, the Fat young man faces humiliation while standing at a signal when the slim guy parks besides him and taunts him for the cost of the bike, low mileage, etc. In the SUN DTH ad the situation is reversed (Using the same actors) and this fatso is shown to have taken the right decision. Funny ads, nicely taken. These are some of the recent ads. Of course, there are many beautiful ads which inspire youngsters, but these are ones that I remember right away since it is currently in my mind.

We should understand the ongoing market trend and the customers likes and their preference.By knowing where the customers are spending more time and seeing the right time to launch any new product or already existing products into the market.Ads should be diversified according to these ideas. |
