Friends as we know that the water is becoming scarce in India and many say that in future there is a chance for India to undergo water scarcity. So are we using the available water properly and taking steps to store the water.  How to manage water scarcity risks?

Contribute to the development of water management system

idea posted by Pradeep Khanna Construction-Heavy, DLF

According to me many do not support or contribute for the development of water management system or services. Effective demand for water and sanitation is often weak if measured by the willingness to pay or contribute to for example the installation of water management system. The public sector has also become increasingly aware of the high political risk of a significant raise in basic rates for providing these services. So the people should support and contribute the private players who come up with good projects. I think this will help us to manage our water scarcity risk.

Reuse of treated wastewater

Interesting idea contest pradeep, I agree with you, that people should support the good project but I feel that reuse of the treated wastewater is also one way to come out water scarcity risks. Nowadays many started saving water and reduced the wastage of water. They are adopting different methods to save the water that is drained out to the roads. But they are not using it for some useful purpose like washing the cars, bikes and cleaning floors etc instead they allow to drain into the ground which is of no use. So they should start reusing the treated water and reduce the usage of fresh water for unwanted use.

Try not to use the underground water

idea posted by George Varghese Proprietor, Jecyees

The underground water resources are required for the existence of life on the earth. Let us leave this water source for the nature to grow the plants on the earth. the water is re-cycled. let us use the surface water for consumption and  it is also re-cycled. Now let us use the latest technologies to generate water where the surface water is not available. Let us think of making water from the air. This technology can make at reasonable price if the government is encouraging this technology. Water consumption from bore well can even become a threat to the earth on its survival.
