Do you have the learnings / feedback / journal of your feelings / outcome from the last opportunity you had? It's time to revisit them as you prepare for your next speaking opportunity. What are the good things you will continue to do; what are one's you will not are points to prepare on. Many times, we repeat the mistakes of the previous opportunity. Leverage the learnings you have had. |

Mr. Suryanarayanan i completely agree with you. If a person learn from the mistakes that he has done in the past then its highly likely that he will perform better next time. Moreover you come to know the areas where you have made mistakes and you will try to improve on that which is always good for your constant development.

Before you start you discussion, check the audio video equipment. As sometimes it does not perform uniformly well. Store you ppt slides in various medium such as cd, pendrive and your laptop. Then, before the session begins, do a brief AV check with the session
moderator to make sure that you can smoothly transition without wasting
any precious time.

As Mr.Bhaskar said we should check whether the audio visual equipment is working before starting a presentation. I have noticed that fewer times the speaker finds out his pen drive has stopped working and he doesn't have another copy of it with him and you know what might have had to that presentation. It was a disaster.

Your discussions must be around the topic you've been assigned to. When you give a presentation, stick on to the topic. Your audience want you to deliver the information they expect and they don't expect is you to talk about your company's product or service. |

Know your audience before you do a presentation.Speaking well requires that you reach your audience and speak to their needs and issues. A common mistake speakers make is having one presentation and using it in front of every group. Prepare presentation as per your audience.

As a speaker you should be able to answer to the questions even after your session ends. Attendees should be able to come up to you during the remainder of the conference and pose additional questions beyond the Q&A. These questions often lead to in-depth discussions and business opportunities.
