Not every CMS optimize Search Engine, I have working on Joomla, Dotnetnuke, Efusion but they are not support full features of SEO.

There is complete exercise for making visible your site in major search engine like :
1. Do the proper meta tagging with relevant keyword and then write some content with that keyword. Make sure your keyword should be relevant of your business.
2. Your site should be validate on validator.w3.org/.
3. Then you can submit your domain in all major search engine directories.
4. Submit your site map on Google.
5. Also you can do some link building.
