Be specific but don't self-diagnose. Being specific about your symptoms is key, but in doing so, do not omit those you feel might be attributed to something else or are minimal to mention. It is the details you provide that minimize the need for extensive medical tests. |

Be as honest as possible about your diet and exercise habits. If your doctor believes that your are eating healthfully and exercising regularly due to your insistence that you are, he/she may see that high cholesterol or blood pressure as a reason for extensive testing. |
