IT vendors have slashed approximately 215,000 jobs since the beginning of 2009.
Though there was increaing seen in hiring trends later on but still things are not on full swing.Certain types of IT jobs will almost certainly disappear. If your email is in the cloud, for instance, you don’t need to keep an IT worker on staff whose sole task is keeping Exchange up and running. At the same time, IT automation and cloud computing are displacing low-level mundane IT jobs. There are lot of such trends seen which make us think what will be our future? so what should one do to secure his job?

Always keep your eyes open and be updated aboutt he latest trends. Take certificaions for them and keep it open to your bosses so that they might know well what all can you handle.

Technology is about obsolescence. Unless updated on a regular basis on the core areas of expertise, your present knowledge will become redundant. Its a rat race! You have no control on your success as the control of technology is with multinationals.

learn more employable skills whether in IT based or other sciences. this would keep fearless as you can get yourself engaged in any job that you can do.don't get emotionally attached to any job as all these jobs are temporary.hence try to live in what ever job you get.if no job try to create a job for yourself with your common simple sense.thats all.never ever fear of anything in life as Mr Indranil Bhaduri suggested."Bash on regardless"is the saying that keeps us moving ahead.all the best
