We Indians have got this new trend of searching for cheapest flight tickets online and this makes it clear that people want to save there time and moeny and prefer air travel but with such cases coming up day by day one may feel too insecure.. Examine the loopholes

idea posted by Swapna Das Assistant Professor, Govt. college

There have to be loopholes in the system which have made it easy for these pilots to get through without being caught. These loopholes should be examined and corrected for the safety of common man.

I think Swapna the process is on and probably within next couple of months the fake license holders will be on book and our travel will be safer.

Effective Regulator

DGCA must energize itself and course correct.

Government should ensure, DGCA is efficient and hazard prevention is taken more seriously in all aspects.

Dear friends in discussion,

The phenomena of fakes is not limited to this aspect alone, they are surrounding us in several aspects it is just that we wake up once a while and show out surprise.

Unless safety and hazard prevention are treated as serious subjects, similar occurrences elsewhere may crop up and the cyclic regularity shall continue.

Political Will

Neither DGCA nor any body meant to regulate such issues have a say in this matter, if the appointments of such nature have interference from the political bosses, which is a natural and accepted phenomenon, as the top positions of such bodies, some times, are filled not on natural ground! Of course, the bureaucracy cannot claim "Coalition Compulsion" excuse for such demur!

Qualifying exam to be conducted by UPSC

idea posted by Jaygopal Raghavan Marketing Manager, Landmark Group
After the pilots log in their mandatory flying hours they should be put to the test through a written exam conducted by UPSC in which a practical test on a stimulator should also be held. UPSC certified pilots then can be recruited by the different airline companies.
