In countries like USA, beating students is illegal. I think in India too, we should start these kind of laws so that students don't suffer with these kind of inhuman problems. |

Besides introducing or making the present laws stringent against such teachers, it would be more appropriate to hold orientation classes for teachers, especially primary and secondary school teachers. More often, those in teaching profession assume themselves as most intelligent and behave like animals. We can also see embarassing situations on several occasions in Banks and other government and even private offices. Officials behave rudely with customers. This applies most to the Railways in our country. All these people should undergo orientation classes, to mend their behaviour. AFter the pay they get is ours, means the people money.
I think , some rules are needed against torching the students , but some type of torches are also necessary .
This is the reality that Students are not working with the perfection without pressure.
Some of the cases are found in which , unnecessary issues are taken against the teacher for minor torching . So it required some rules for torching , but not to stop the torching .

dear deepali tandon, corporal punishment or so called beating students is already banned in india since 1985. there is a law, in place but how many errant teachers have been prosecuted is not known. i feel it should be made a non bailable offence, and the statement of fellow students, class mates, and the testimony of parents based on the series of events before the actual beating of students, must be taken into consideration, for taking the unruly teacher or principal into custody.in case of death or permanent disability caused to the student the concerned teacher should be treated like any other cold blooded murderer, and treated accordingly.schools must have students bodies who should act as watch wardens for such incidences.

Yes! better make it a non bailable offense

its not sufficient to make a law and control these type of matter.it is a subject to think for all teachers and gurdians too,we have to go deep why this condition is generated.other thing is that either teach them in such a type as they intertaine or interested but without fear its not possible

La Matina, after 125 yrs. in Kolkata , what do we hear about U ? Kolkata never permits these. U have de-famed this great city of Joy. Here Mother Teresa showed the world how to LOVE people and U are beating ur students ? Only a small fraction of 'torture news' comes out ... a single case reporting may be 90 cases hidden .. ! ( Kolkata local news : The Principal was a RajyaSabha member from a big political party generelly ruled/ rules from Delhi. He has much ego than a humanaterian Teacher .. ! Dr. Radha Krishnana ... did u imagine teachers like these ? )
--- Deplore the School -- Deplore the teachers ( as a whole ) -- Punish the teacher reported against in school and outside - stop his/ her salary -- transfer him/ her to a non-teaching position -- Take legal course of action ( we may not ask Teachers to be beated .. ! ) |

Agreeing with you but the debate states about market planing and advertisement is a part of it. The question seems to be very open so try to narrow down the question. |
