How Will Content Evolve With Online Business Models?

News search engines, such as Google News, mainly aggregate media content for a user to quickly access. And after this Rupert murdoch backlash against News aggregator sites, Google contends that its news search product benefits media organizations and consumers, but then Murdoch recently condemned that news aggregators and said journalism content should not be so freely available online, and should pay news sites for the content that they bring in.  So I guess search engines are just making profits than sites which really bring in quality content, so search engines should pay for content.

I think after search engines paying for content, as bing is going to do that, I think users will also be asked to pay upfront for the content that they wish to see online, and this is guess will create a bit furore among the users, but then internet will loose its charm if anything happens like these, all these business models should be at the organizational level and should not reach to the bottom users, as many would back out from participating in internet, and drastically the numbers will be reduced, so the other option for them is users paying for content, which I think is highly impossible that will happen in the future.

Its an interesting question.

To make Content the key is necessary and extremely important. My idea here involves the users of these news sites to upload their content which will be an interesting blog microsite on the news site itself. This will add a huge traffic inflow as the uploader would want all his pals to traffic what he has uploaded to validate it. The WOM would be great and would have a huge snowball effect.

The payment getway comes into the picture for the upload! For nominal amounts the news channel may allow monitored content to be uploaded adn may even announce the best content of the day on the channel itself!! Its a very nascent thought, not really thought through completely. But I am sure a lot of people here would like to piece it and thread it ahead!!

Instead of investing on bing for the media content why should not the news corp and google share the cake with some understanding.Google should understand if news corp shifts to MS there will be LOSS but if it is able to retain News corp atleast a deal can be signed wherein they can share the profit so it is Google here to sacrifice first. We know MS they are going to be more professional.So the end user should not be the victim.
