Time off is always greatly appreciated, if you can afford to, consider giving your employees time off on their birthdays, holidays or other special occasions. But be careful that comp time is distributed fairly, and that it benefits all of your employees.

I am in favor of this idea employee should be given off at least 2twice in 2months so that he can relax refresh and be back to work with full energy.An employee can give his bets if he works 8hrs anything above that there would be a lot of errors in the work he does since his mind is stressed

Stress is inevitable in life but can be eliminated. Why do people feel stressed? Could it be because they feel that they are incapable of handling the responsibilities that come with their careers and personal life? It is about time companies realized that besides handing out freebies and days off, they should also focus on finding lasting solutions to these issues. One great way of doing so would be to conduct stress relief and life enhancements workshops that will enable them to find the answers to their individual problems. Most of us dont even realize our true potentials and there is scientific evidence that supports this fact. The real solution lies deep within each person and the ideas stated above would ideally only heal the 'wounds' superficially. |

Absolutely! People are not stressed by the work they do but by the work that is not done and is pending!! They need to find a way to deal with Everything that they have to do and handle such that they are not left stressed.

After a long project give them a day or two off, it makes them feel that their work is appreciated and they will be rejuvenated and they will voluntarily come for the next project. |

Yes giving comp days off after doing a long project is very much appreciated among the employees because they will be relieved from stress for a while enjoy time with their family and come back very much rejuvenated for the next project.

WELL...I beg to differ with sheeba, when it is said that stress can be eliminated...being praticle, I wonder in todays scenario every human being exists with certain amount of stress,which I opion is inevitable !! Fine if there is a seriuos thought on controlling this stress at workplace ..the management needs to get more people-sensitive, certainly need to raise their level of empathy....One of such act could be 'reaching the employees family...giving them a feel that they constitute a part of the system"...'coz at the end of the day for all the slogging that the employee does he ultimately intends to KEEP HIS FAMILY HAPPY!!!

Flexible work hours can help an employee meet conflicting needs without compromising the amount of hours they work. If employees can adjust their hours or telecommute once in a while, they'll be happier at work and at home. |

In some cases, HR people are move divert to Management and ignore employee problems, which from thier point of view is useless. Sometimes the probelm for an employee is so big that he gets frustate and can not give good productivity. HR should give soltuions to employee problems keeping rules and policies in considiration. |
