Based on previous works/projects executed or the practical knowledge possessed by a contractor we can choose. Though charges may be more as experience goes up, always better to go for the best. |

If contractor trusted and reliable company with a good work ethic, they will answer any questions asked and give advice on important factors of construction such as materials, time frame, costs and so forth. The quality of the advice which they dispense is a key indicator as to who will do a good job and who will do an outstanding job and always ask for a quote and make sure that it is received in writing.

All construction companies should be certified. Construction companies should also uphold and follow the various health and safety procedures as outlined by the Act in every construction project they embark on, Employees should be fully trained by a Construction Education, It is illegal in fact to have labourers who are not trained in Construction Regulations, which is a part of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act).

Yes sumith safety standards are also increased by the government, the company should train their employees immediately to meet with this standard of safety. If a client is considering the use of a construction company that is not up to par with these standards, the project may become hindered by injury of laborers or bystanders and both the construction company and developers may face serious legal action.
Check this video below, it gives some ideas of choosing contractor

Usually construction work involes 3 aspects viz - Cost, Time and safety. Based on the charcteristics of construction project, these three aspects should be prioritized (given priority number) and selection process should be based on these priorities. This simply means that if a construction site is within the population limit, 1st priority chart shall be - Safety - Time - Cost and while selecting contractor evaluation of contractor (and proposal)shall give top priority to safety norm that contractor wishes to deploy. Likewise priority chart can be made for all kind of project and this should be clearly indicatd in RFP of contractor with a clear chart for them to submit their proposal accordingly. |
