Well, its good to drop Maruti 800. There is no meaning of production of a car which is not satisfying the emission norms. Also, it is there in the market since 1982. Its better to drop this product. Maruti has got better options like Alto, WagonR, Estilo, A-Star, Ritz and Swift. Even the public today wants something new and as TATA has shown us that people's demand is small cars. So there is no meaning of running Maruti-800 in the market any more. |

maruti had to obey emission norms, no other way than upgrade itself......if they had upgraded itself it would have meant investments..........cost price of maruti would have remained there or added an inch............
Its one of those rational and bold decisions taken by MUL. Despite EURO norms coming into play and adherence to the same; I probably feel its the sales, performance and price of the ALTO which probably made Maruti rethink its decison. The general feeling at the moment amongst people normally zeroes down to the ALTO when looking at a first time buy, money factors, city & traffic convenience despite stiff competition from other manufacturers.
I support to change the body of maruthi 800. The current car is designed for Japenish personalities. So i wish do redesign its body in a elegant design according to new market scenario, because its booming market ahead atleast for a decade with small cars. I feel that is no problem with its engine performance & no issues related with maintanence or milage.

I think this is not a such good decision, two of my favourite automobile will be vanished in some time now, earlier Bajaj scooters were withdrawn from production on which I enjoyed my rides with my father, and now Maruti 800 which was the first car in our house and still my dad drives it, and its sad to see both of these iconic brands stopping production. |

may be its gud decision.. but i really miss this dream car forever
ya..it is really a missing..
i think this decision is not good because this car is make to see Indian middle class people which can buy it and ride it with pridefully a Indian car

It is governed by the life cycle of a product. Nothing to be emotional on the issue and allow other models,players come into th market. If we purchase a pen we intend to write many times to conclude the decision to go for a selected item. Similar idea happens with every product today. |

It is not a good decision for the people who rely on Maruti 800. Though there is many choices are available today in the market, but the credibility of Maruti is highest among most of the middle income group people in India. |

Indian roads are already choked with vechiles & so traffic jams. We need to encourage public transport or atleast smaller cars. Maruthi should concentrate on M800 which has an history behind it.

Maruti could upgrade the engine of M-800 into Euro-iv.I think a new Euro-iv version of M-800 could be developed and thus continuing the production of M-800 instead of complete stop of production. However,a good news is that Maruti is planning to launch a new hatchback alike M-800 of price around 1.5-2.5 lakh.Hope this can continue the glory of M-800.. |

I SUPPORT THE IDEA OF MANAGEMENT.because in the period of globalisation there are so many companies which are entering in indian market with a good quality vehicle and at affordable prices.it leads to a competition and pushed our car manufacturing industries to produce a good quality vehicle.so thos is the favourable decision. |
