The best way to deal with situation is keep all data ready with you. However, not only data but but proper presentation of information is more important. If the boss is open for discussion then in a way of suggestion or a better idea can be presented.
This is the best and reasonably safe way.
Just keep the all data ready with you to proved by yourself. Show to the boss and you tell him boss you are not wrong. but some mistake from your side.
not says directly that Mr.boss you are wrong..

I am agree with Shashi Ji, We should be in a position to say right is right and wrong is wrong. Even whom so ever it will. For every person right is right and wrong is wrong and we should have enough capacity to go with right whether the person doing wrong is your Friend, senior or the person doing right is your junior, enemy etc..

Dont say "you are wrong".. begin with "sir, it seems there is error you overlooked" and diplomatically deal with the issue
I am agree with Ritu to right is right. You will not be proove to wrong is right but says right. If you have sufficiet data to proove only right. Manupulation will not be proove.
Rituben, This type of bold approach sounds nice. But, one should be very diplomatic in such exercises.

Gone are the days when the most reliable mode of communication was verbal. It is sometimes an arduous path one has to take in order to achieve the perfect balance with the boss. And till that is achieved, staying mum may be better than interjecting with a "But…" |

In an organization, approaches are bound to differ. Persons do differ. Views and view points are different many a time. One need not always prove or point out that the other is not right. One can present one's view point. Be graceful to agree to disagree. No matter even if one , you disagree , may be your BOSS. But always remember that BOSS IS BOSS.
I can simple say that Boss is always right.so there is no way to say his boss is wrong.

Hi guys the topic is very interesting, And as per my experience there is no unique way to prove ur boss is wrong. It varies as per the nature of boss and the situation. You know some bosses are very rigid and they may not be take your opinion as a valuable at that time my opinion is you have to keep mum. Otherwise if we straight way tell him that he is wrong then we will definitely heart his igo and may be we will get into trouble, it may lead to spoiling the relation with boss or may be our job is at risk, as the time passes definitely he will come to know that he was wrong. It doesnt mean that you should not have all data with you. When your boss nature is open and he gives importance to your opinion then with your all data definitely you can say boss you r wrong. At this time might be you will get appreciation from ur boss . So as per my view you have to behave as per situation as different personalities have different nature. |

I think telling honestly the truth does not harm anyone and if its for good and improvement then why not point it out even if your boss is on the other side. And always make sure to show him the faults with all the proves and possible alternatives.

Boss is always a boss in most of the companies management support bosses only hence the employee should be on-the safe side.rather than going straight forward that boss is wrong,go in an assertive way by showing the advantages and disadvantages of an issue and ultimately showing out the output with proper supportive data

Some time the Boss may be wrong, we have to handle things very cautiously and try to gain his faith. Then tell him that all staffers thinks very positive about him and praises his ideas and the way he is leading.. Now when the atmosphere becomes cordial make him aware that there can be one another better way or idea to solve the matter in which he is supposed to be wrong... All iz well....... |

instead of saying straight and hurting the ego of boss, it is better to point out other alternates based on data and facts that also when he is in receptive mood. There are moments when the boss is not in receptive mood, that time whatever we say he has one reply- no. So it is better to keep patience and wait for the right time.

Firstly your describe Idea with totally documented then explain him slowly & calmly. Make Ur boss to understand Ur idea & view About that Particular task. other wise any mishap will happen.

I think the best way to do this is give the boss various alternative/suggestions. Boss may not accept it out-rightly, but later he/she may ponder over that. |

i feel that we dont hav to think whether the boss is right or not.we just have to obey them as he is senior as well as more experienced then their followers.they think more sharply than anyone else as well as he has to obey the order of their seniors and in a way to achieve that goal we just give our 100% to aur boss so that he can conduct the work with more flexibility.

It is not like that kartik. in this world i can show you thousands of example where person from senior post are wrong,egoistic,angry,& jealous. He can be more intelligent sometime but not always true. My Eng Teacher was saying i am poor in programming i won't get5 job. but today i am earning more than him as a s/w professional. He was wrong.even he was not knowing what is programming hence he was teacher.
