"India's trade agenda"

In my opinion, India's export growth is mainly blocked by supply side factors such
as government regulations and inability to provide necessary logistics rather than the demand side factors such as appreciation of Indian
rupee, tariff and non-tariff barriers. Government should provide a better physical infrastructure and easy availability of cheap credit. China is way head than us in terms of infrastructure. Lower transaction costs have also given Chinese exports the competitive
edge. For example, it takes around 40 days to book a container for
exports in India as compared to just one day in China.

Well said Akhilesh. Poor infrastructure growth coupled with lack of insight into what actually transpires "out there", is seriously hampering our growth. The need to address issues imdtly is prime - we have a lot of the answers sitting right under our noses - just need to address problems faced every day!
