India spamvertised: Why there is so high amount of spam mails in India?

Normally spam mail reports are found more in developing countries. The reason for this is, here, the population is more which results in more number of users. The more increase in userbase, the more is the amount of mails- both necessary and unnecessary. Because of this, the spam mails increase.

Because we are an incosiderate group of people.

Otherwise why is it that nearly 80% spam i get has no relevance for me. We simply send the mails and the smses by automatic setup without ever screening or filtering the database.

In addition to this many organizations - credit card companies, car dealers, insurance agents - sell their client list unofficially. This spreads our contact details all over the place.

Until we do any job we undertake with respect for the privacy of the recepient and do the job with a focus on relevance, the spamming will never reduce.

Even with the DND option with the service providers and a national DND registry, and with spam filters on our laptop and our ISPs, we still have not seen any reduction in spamming.

There may be many reasons : -

---  We are growing economy .. spammers are in search of money

---  We are lolerant .. dont take spams as serious & even often dont mark "Spams"

---  Ignorant about International crimes, about Money Launderings and Drug Trafficings etc.

---  As said here already, pirated software may be another reason ( spammers often 'push' their mails and no particular E-address is of necessicity ... may any expert make further comments ? )

Believe me it is just as bas in other countries inpite of strict laws. Is it like the terrorist menace. THere is not much one can d? 

It is a part of the perks. 

Most Indians at Home use Pirated Software and hence no control over spam since we prefer to use illegal OS, Office Suites, other software and spam blockers.

We are also fascinated by the label "FREE" which itself distributes our identity to god-knows how many spammers.

spamming is an easy way of mass advertising.just like any normal advertising in TV-not all the ads are relevant for us.

also India is a country with high unemployment rates,hence breeding of spammers to make their livelihood. utilizing this concept companies benefit as online platform is far more cost-effective than conventional ad and also gets personal attention as delivered to each individual's inbox. its a win-win situation for both companies and spammers at the cost of the recipient's space.

also Indian society is yet to catch up with cyber laws and legal issues regarding online data protection-ignorance is bliss.let's cash on it.

Actually not any one can host responsibility of SPAMS, it is indeed combo of multiple facts in my opinion like More users, Tolerance and Pirated softwares
