Indian Entertainment & Media Industry to grow 10.5 per cent during the next 5 years says PWC.

The recent PWC report says, Indian Entertainment and Media Industry in no doubt has witnessed magnificent growth in recent years. If a recent report by PWC is to be believed then India is certainly on the verge to witness major growth in E&M industry after only to China.

Indian E&M industry grew at 10.3 per cent to reach the size of Rs. 536.9 billion, although it will witness only 8 % in 2009 compared to 16.6% compounded annual growth over the 2004-08 period. The growth in Indian E&M industry would hover around 10.5 per cent during the forecasted period 2009-13.

I think this will be a killer combo according to me, the two biggest Media formats coming together and this will surely leave behind everyone, and will indeed generate more revenue than ever before. with people connecting online and also able to watch TV and with this one can have a targetted audience and people can watch their choice of programs and not what the channels were dishing out earlier..so this Combination gives a lot more than just normal television and will drive many a things in future for the Entertainment & Media industry.

ya, but level of media budget decrease because many commercial rates of many channels goes down by coming low budget channels
