Increase Participation of Retail Investors

idea posted by Arup Chakraborty Managing Consultant

Indian Stock Market di dconsiderable well in 2009 in spit eof the global economic meltdown.  The future should see further investment by the retail investor's to sustain similar growth trends.

I wholeheartedly support this idea.Increased retail participation would mean more market participants meaning less market volatility. It would also help counteract the increasing F.I.I pie and distribute the profit of Indian corporates among a wider number of Indians. I would also suggest that the commission of Mutual Fund Distributors should be restored so that they can carry out the difficult task of reaching out to more number of retail clients.

Technicals overweigh than Fundamentals

Indian stock market 2010, no more returns according to fundamentals. Technical analysis will be more effective than fundamentals. High volatility, nominal returns on Mutual funds if we are not active in that part(Entry & Exit concern). Good year for investment in Pharma, FMCG, banking rather than infrastructure or real estate stocks. Not a smooth year for trading. But right time to invest in undervalued shares for medium to long term period especially for 3 to 5 years.

FII inflow and RBI movement!!

idea posted by Manish N Chugh Officer Trainee, Stock Holding Corporation of India ltd.,

No doubt the movement of our stock market has been a remarkable one in 2009, however, to retain this spot and move ahead would require more steps by FII's and movements of RBI. The stimulus package has to be taken back and how this would be done is the main point to be kept in mind for the mkts to move ahead or not. And moreover the FII contribution has always been a keen point for the upmove of our mkts and how will these play henceforth has to be seen. Therefore, i feel these are the main factors to be kept in mind for the mkts to move ahead from here. ... Thank you, Manish N.

Cheers!!

Inflation

One of the most important factor that effects a common man in our country. With the majority of the population into Middle class our government has heavy work to do to control all types of inflation like wholesale and retail.

We have got food inflation abt 16% if am not wrong which suggest a basic necessity is costlier rather a lot more costlier.

A control inflation helps people save more with may result into rather more profits, investment and returns.

I agree we have a lot of FII capital inflow bt with increasing growth can be severely harmed.
