Manufacturing unit and service unit for boogi is required on large scale

idea posted by hiren nagariya project engineer, KK and Associates

Dear all,

In india every year more then 20000 boogi is imported and every year more then 100 local train and 30-40 express train is incresed every year  but infracture  on back side is not given importance in any railway bugers which ultimately affect the service life of train as no maintance is given to train

there is requirement of service station on all major station which should be long term planning for new railway buget.

I think only metro coaches/bogies are imported. So are the technology for the coaches in Rajdhani. The remaining coaches are mainly from ICF kapurthala.....other countries will not even use these coaches to transport animals. Even if the coaches have poor quality, it is the lack of proper maintenance plus human error that is causing accidents.

I support your views Mr. Hiren! we have to fabricate these boogies in house and maintenance should be closely monitored too!

Better maintenance

Along with manufacturing a better maintenance is also needed because when there is no maintenance various problems come unexpectedly. But if parts properly maintained they will know what the condition is and how to take care of it and avoid disastrous situation..

Introduction of latest technology

Thanks,Radha for referral. As I have already mentioned that Indian Railways is well structured and managed. There are about more than 10 departments, which are headed by Top Class Officers of Engineering,Operations,Finance,Commercial,Safety. As for maintenance of Track ,Trains and Bogies, schedules are religiously followed. The only inadequacy with Indian Railways is its budgeted allocations just sufficient for maintenance and operations. This will continue till we achieve steady GDP more than 12% and heavy subsidy is reduced. Then IR can make well thought out plans for infrastructural development.

Sustainable planning & training of existing employee

We already have the largest network in the world, what is required is to do proper planning under the flagsship of sustainability. We go further to form strategic alliances with professional organization within the country to upgrade the level of human resooirce exist within railways. The railway needs to put a efficient & strict regime in all verticals it holds that includes maintenance but not limited to it.

First we require proper maintenance of existing systems

What with a large number of posts still vacant in the railways especially in the signals category, the biggest bane of the indian railways is its politicisation and unionism. You can find a lot of systems and equipment rusting everywhere. What use of adding new infrastructure of systems without maintaining existing one's ? I for one vote for urgent privatisation of the railways - only then will the employees work properly.
