Interview is to fill the vacancy may be as a result of expansion or otherwise. The interviewer should be so trained to decide who to offer the job and also keep the second candidate on line by saying we will get back to you in say two weeks.
It should be the interviewer who should understand who is more needy and fits into the position as per company needs. Once ditinguished that perticular candidate should be hired.
Interviews are conducted to select the right candidate for the right job profile. The main purpose of the interview is to select the right candidate for a specific job based on the job roles and responsibilities along with the job description from the pool of eligible candidates.....
interview is to know about hiring right person for yours firm. so while conducting interview we go for qualitative, general and verbal aptitude to see how a candidate can go through these test in stipulated amount of time. because in buisness time is money. these test conducted how efficient and how productive candidates can think. we go for gd and pi to see the communication power and psycology and general body language of a candidate because in buisness we deal with varieties of people having different nature so to manage them candidate should have good problem solving quality also be polite, smart and confident to put customers on the track.

It should be more of an informal chat rather than a strict interview kind of an atmosphere giving the Interviewer and interviewee to be openly exchange ideas, details and know each other- this would be able to reflect a true picture of the candidate |

Conducting the interview is very ticklish issue. You had better to keep updated profile to vouch the replies and to ascertain whether the candidate is fit for the job he /she has been called for. |

Interviewing a candidate differs from situation to situation and vacancy to vacancy. Interviewing a fresher differs from interviewing an experience person. Interviewing for entry level post differs from senior/executive level posts. Therfore it is situation/job dependant. Interview is mainly to identify the job knowledge with a person, at the same to identify a right person for the right job |
