Isolation of footing in RCC framed construction
|

Why can't we think of isolating the footing in RCC framed structures in cases where bldg height is less than the least lateral spread(width). I feel this would obviate the effect of seismic forces. May be we can have a separation at plinth level having two plinth bands or a beams separated by a thin layer of plastic strip in 2 layers? |
