With Colleges churning out very less people that Industry wants, the solution lies in recruiting experienced people from other industries. They need to poach from other industries such as infrastructure, manufacturing, etc, people, who have project management experience, who have customer management experience, who understand the construction industry or who understand banking etc. Give them the technical knowledge and they can be on the operations. I agree that poaching is not a good thing but they can get new people as the demand is very less in other industries so there will be a balance. |

Dear Renne, I support your view/suggestion, as I am not part of IT industry but it is really good idea to call professionals from other areas.

Hello Renne, I am not aware of how many contracts IT companies abandoned in recent past. I have worked with few large US enterprises, one of them largest in the world at that point of time. The global brands like Microsoft Corporation understand one thing very clear, technology is an enabler that knows no master. They pick and choose sets of people who can produce the desired results. To achieve this they provide extensive training and feedback session; pick up those who fit the plan. Training and mentoring in these enterprises is a process of enrolling employees into brand product (technology) and service that the organization is dealing wherein the employee needs to be effective. Focused high impact training and subsequent mentoring propels employees to move in the frontiers of technology, service levels, product placement, technology innovation, they enter into a realm of being a GURU of what they have to deal with. A life time experience of feeling fulfilled, a feeling all over I have “done it”. I can “do it”. Principle companies do not face this issue, it’s the vendors or third party who may have such trouble, if they are not doing the ground and foot work of maintaining their employees, its “feel good” that keeps the flock together. Training and mentoring augments this in a great manner, fortunately my trainers had commending personalities and towering knowledge, the skill to impart high impact training using latest cutting edge tools and techniques. A transformation from an employee to a leader.

Home schooling is a different concept and I think it cannot be followed by the majority.. Parents are already busy in earning money. There is no possibility of them sitting at home and teaching their kids.. |
Freedom can be over used. Discipline is necessary to good and quality work.. |
Two sides and long explanations and in the end nothing is clear to me. Anyways we are at benefit.. We are not taking their jobs they are giving us jobs because of the lack of talent .. Then why should we think anything more? |
