"Small is beautiful", is what car manufacturers have realised, and are going all out to woo customers with the small cars. India has become the world's second-largest maker of small cars, overtaking Brazil. But then Japan remains the world's biggest small car manufacturer.

Small cars account for 80% of the Indian domestic market and exports are growing at a fast pace. According to the SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers), small car exports rose 53% between April and September to 197,249 units against 129,090 units a year ago.

I would like to ask the users like, which Small car has the potential to attract more customers? Share your views guys.

Maruti-Suzuki Swift

idea posted by Mridula Maity Product Development Manager, Rugel

This is one such car which has got something for everyone, it has got great mileage, really good performance and nice looking too. And easily 5 people can fit in and comes from the stable of Maruti which has given time and again really good performing cars till now apart from few which you know already I guess. So according to me Swift is the best in this segment. What  are your views guys?

I would like to go with Maruthi Suzuki Swift dieesel. An amazing small speciall ment for India. The car has got good fule efficiency, gr8 braking ablity and very good to drive in Indian roads.

The car has got a veery good acceleration. It is a small car but it is having good highway nogotiation power. Even Aechiveing high speeds above 150 is quite possiblee in this car. Even at high speeds it can be controlled very well.

over all this is a perfect small car for india.

Fiat Grande Punto

idea posted by Mridula Maity Product Development Manager, Rugel

The all-new international bestseller comes to India in three engine options - the 1.4-litre FIRE Petrol and the 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel were expected options, but Fiat has also thrown in the surprise 1.2-litre petrol option to reap in the excise benefits. The car will be available in four varying trims - the Active, Dynamic, Emotion and fully-loaded Emotion PK.

The pricing reflects this too. The 1.2-petrol will be available only in the basic Active trim and will go for Rs 3.99 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. The 1.4 FIRE petrol has been priced between Rs 4.66 lakh and Rs. 5.61 lakh between variant. And this gives The Maruti swift a real good fight for that matter.

Fiat... The Italian car makers, once ruled in indian market.

Well known for their technology. In the initial days Fiat had some after sale problems. But now it has been eliminatd. TATA's took the responsibility of after sale service and spares. Now one can think of having Fiat cars in their parking yard.

Now coming to the Punto. An absolut beauty. Bold looks. Nice performance.

More over it is Available at affordable prise.

revamped version of reva

idea posted by kawaljit kaur pgdbm student , Mount Carmel Institute of Management

considering the current times when more and more people are made to think in enviormental interest ,such car can be youth's favourate which  is increasing leaning towards means that are least harmful to climate .earlier version of reva suffered on the design front but revamped version have huge potential if proper marketing strategy is brought into practice .

Maruti Swift Best available option.

idea posted by Vijay Kumar Proprietor, Super Fine Industries

In India, people want, Mileage,Comfort,Driving Pleasure and overall  best customer care.  This can only be available in Maruti Swift in Diesel version and Petrol version both.

Second best option is Hyundai I10  .Totally dependable car. But mileage is bit lower than Swift.
