Here’s the opportunity. In 2022, IMaCS estimates that India will have 793 million in its working-age population (18-59 years) — more than any other country. According to Centum, in 2020, the world will have a deficit of 47 million workers. India, by contrast, will have a surplus of 56 million.

But that will not happen untill there is proper impetus on job training courses for the lakhs together graduates that pass out from India every year. So, how this skill integration should happen??

The government has given a sweeping mandate to a new entity, the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), to fund and work with the private sector to skill 150 million by 2022.  Then the government is giving a new lease of life to industrial training institutes by tagging a private partner to them. I don't think there should be any license for skill, rather skill should be imparted at a very highly competitive price that matches the seemless growth of industry .the problem is skill is scarce as it is very costly these days and also many are not employed. hence skills just given as a training or virtual training wont help. many industries can take interns for improvement of skills in a particular domain to create a skill tank reserve for them and also to cater for other industries. we are a skill development company and we are trying to do our bit in aiding the skill development mass. more over the academic and industry mismatching to be ironed out as early as possible. All parents ,colleges & schools are all locked into the mark syndrome to cash on their coffers. The government to just talks about it but the change seems to be very far as most politicians own engineering colleges or an educational institutions in almost every state. A revolutionary change in selection process is also not followed by the HR to select the people with skills or test their skills as they dont have time for it,nor do they conduct proper training for their inside staff itself to improve the skills for productivity exceptions are always there. Even if license is given it wont make any difference so long as we balance the skill development based on the industry growth or to create industry growth by the planning commission and the HR development ministry
