India is a great market for global products. We go jittery the moment we hear the markets from where these products are bought, say, Chandni Chowk, Bhagirath Palace, and other gray markets,to name a few in Delhi! Why? In India, we have consumers and buyers for anything and everything that is sold. We can undermine quality, but not cost. Because of the largest consumer base in this country, all patented stuff in the world are pushed into this country with ease. All your theories in Marketing will fail in India, as our propensity to consume at every strata is increasing due to inflationary trend, and raising the bar of "desire" level. A Rickshaw puller wants to change his mobile phone once in two months, whether he can afford to hold one or not!
