May be tough, but who is your favorite politician in your life time.........

Well, this India’s only bachelor Prime Minister will always be remembered for his spell bounding oration, poetry, charisma, statesmanship & a very rare capability to be respected by people, even having altogether 180 degree ideology & political orientation,( as some of such people do say about him, ‘a right person in a wrong party’).

This solon & secular face of a right wing party (as some people suggests) will also always be revered for his noble & historic trip to Lahore. For such reasons even people like Gen. Musharraf, who seems to be having a very strong sentiments against India, could not defy his statecraft.

This lover for good cuisines would also invariably be highly praised for his foreign policy, economic reforms & infrastructural development (such as golden quadrilateral) & not to mention, how ‘Buddha smiled’.

Also, even after the unfortunate Kargil invasion, India was lauded as a much matured democracy for possessing a painful restrain for not crossing the LOC.

I just wish listen to this person once more in his full swing debating an issue as an parliamentarian, as of-course he is the best person recognized there to be.

For me, he is really a Bharat Ratna.

Though Sonia Gandhi plays the major part in drawing out plans for the party and every body tells that PM Manmohan singh is just a puppet in the hands of Sonia gandhi, but then he has brought some good plans to the floor and has improved a lot from being an economist of the country in the past and has showed how to run a country with a clean slate, with no controversy and congress getting good support from all I see Manmohans stable hand in the way congress has shaped up till date...and I would like to give my vote to Manmohan singh to be my favourite politician.

The greatest politician in this world is the only person Mahatma Gandhi. He is a true politician who got an inclusive vision, a definite policy & value based working, inspiring motivation etc. None can match him. Post Gandhi, I find only one politician in lalBahadur Shastri who was an icon for value based politics & strong administration with a perfect vision. Rest others are just power brokers though degree of opurtunistic intent & mindset may differ.

My all-time favorite politician was Indira Gandhi. Her determination to fight a problem was her crowing jewel. She planned tough fight against deteriorating social, political and work environment in the seventies, made Bangladesh free and fought the religious fanaticism of Sikh terrorists. She had to sacrifice her life for the shake of the nation but she is remembered for her valor act. Even today her epitome attracts the maximum crowd as visitors.
