I think media have to constantly evaluate the current situation and look at ways and means to maximise clients., they have to relook at their investments critically because there will be less room for speculative investments in media offerings, and a strong need to account for every rupee spent-not just efficiency, but also effectiveness in enabling real sales.

My idea is to draw up a multi-pronged strategy to help its clients maximise their media spends. It has to conduct periodic reviews of category and competitive spends to ensure that its clients, budgets are being continuously monitored and optimally utilised. They also have to continuously scan the dynamic media environment to look for and grab cost-effective media opportunities that could benefit clients and also identify opportunities for value addition and innovation through our proprietary innovation processes....
