The great depression

idea posted by Kriti Das HR Manager, ANZ Information Technology

It is hard and well if not dealt properly it can make you handicap for rest of your life. The family suffers interms of finances and basic needs are hard to be fulfilled. If the person loosig job is not of the top class management there are more complexities. Which ruin all the happiness of his life.

To overcome this one should get a complete support from the family. He should be strong and partners should keep hold of situations when one feels mental breakdown. (which keeps on happening till one does not get the other job)

It will be a mental agony and confusion but one should be firm in facing such problems without loosing heart since if one door is closed another door will be opened when the issue is approached in proper way.All hurdles are experience for everybody and stepping stone to come up in life. The end of problem is the opening of way for another fortune.we should have complete faith in God who will never let down us.Better trying for some other openings will be advisable.

Thanks for the referral Mr.Kriti Das.

CONTINUE TAPPING THE JOB MARKET EVEN IF YOU FEEL QUITE FIT WITHIN A JOB

idea posted by PS Dhingra CEO & Vigilance & Transformation Management Consultant, Dhingra Group of Management & Educational Consultants

AS A PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE, TO AVOID ANY CHANCE OF DEPRESSION IN HIS CAREER, EVERY PERSON IN PRIVATE JOBS MUST BE PREPARED ALL THE TIMES FOR JOB HOPS FROM ONE TO THE OTHER JOB BY KEEPING ON CONTINUOUS TAPPING OF THE JOB MARKET EVEN IF HE IS QUITE HAPPY & SATISFIED WITH THE PRESENT JOB.

No doubt the mental trauma of losing your job is severe and takes lot of understanding and support to overcome it. It affects all in the family and is a great let down. However in today's economy job losses will be there. This must be understood by the employees and therefore they must keep themselves " employable". Keeping one self current, adding new skills, and performing very well in the job are few strategies which could help employees to overcome such situations and find a new soon.

Dear Siva Kumar, precautionary measure to be ready beforehand to switch over to any other job should be preferable rather than expecting family members to support, as the instance of loss of job of the earning member causes more depression to the family members, in themselves with the result in causing more irritation and additional tension & depression to the employee.

Efforts and Patience

Efforts and patience , these are the our strong tool which is giving us strongness, confidence. I agree in this situation, face very difficult, create many problem, mind become negative, negative thinking. But still if you will support looser, create efforts, patience and positiveness in looser. And then looser will become winner after sometime. Without facing hard problem, difficulties etc. difficult to live. We are learn from bad or good experience , difficulties etc. So we have to fight against negative.

The person who is on the verge of losing the job, should be properly guided and given enough justification before termination . It is a great challenge for HR to tackle this problem.

Depression but gives strength to look forward too

idea posted by anuradha NECC Ltd.
I feel it is both. In case of loosing you get depressed and with that you gets the courage to look forward to find a new job but i think one should not be affected by it too much and think positively about his/her work.

If we ape the west, we must ape them entriely. Losing a job is peanuts; it should happen, if it doesn't it means you're an asslicker, and too conformist!!! Also, mediocre ppl will continue to obey and give in to everybody's demands. You have to take risk and analyse your efforts.

Where there is a will there is a way

This is the first duty of the HR team to handle the situation very gently . Then the person needs to understand what are the reasons given for the Layoff & then he really need to understand whether there are any chances of self improvement . Then he have to get that things done & go with the SWOT & move accordingly . Yes I am totally agree with Kriti Family & Environment plays a major role in such situation but ultimately the person needs to be strong that not to get into depressed as depression will ruin his strengths & ultimately this will convert into all weaknesses . After this he needs to take his own call to go for a job or to start on his own .
