Odd Indian Politics emanating from Nehruvian conception of Economics of India Countries when prefer sovereign status choose their Philosophers. When Nehru and colleagues chose their philosophers they chose JS Mill and Schumpeter they being dignified in life and upbringing and discarded Adam Smith, Keynes and Karl Marx, the latter being the choice of all the developed world. They might have been disregarded being less dignified and having led more erratic life patterns. The major difference in both the schools of Economic thinking is highlighted here. One is definition of economics where the JS Mill school thinks Economics is the study of Production alone and the other school thinks it is the study of both Production and distribution. The wrong choices prevented us with a degenerated environment where distribution is not given a prominent place and our marketing gets distorted all around especially in the Logistics sides having no scientific road systems. Second in the choice of Value. Marxian Value system followed by western countries stipulates ‘labor surplus’ as the value creator for the Capitalist where as Shumpeter believes in the ‘breaking of the circular flow models’ as the creator of profits. This has huge difference in the values forming in society. In Welfare states like western worlds especially US the values are clearly planned by the manufacturer through ‘marginal pricing’ where as in India we believe in ‘random values’ the prices don’t signal any science rather created to ‘disrupt’ the ‘circular flow’. Moreover according to the western models stipulated above the Capitalists exists and keep their actions perpetual by 1)innovation 2)improvement and 3) experiments. In India since the Schumpeter model is followed our Capitalists maintain their acquisitive need through ‘breaking of the circular flow model’. The JS Mill, Schumpeter model does not believe in the Circular flow model and they feel economy need be run on the particular circumstance of the Economy where as the western models depend on the Circular flow design of their Economies. Another difference is, in India we don’t consider Labor as a commodity and design Schools and colleges without much budget where as in Western countries the labor is generated from these Academic institutions with the idea of creating ‘commodities out of them’. In human development one individual is from infant state supposed to move from 1)subjective spirit to 2) objective spirit and finally to 3) Effective spirit. Our academia being ill-funded generates graduates due to choice of overdependence on ‘work experience’ graduates that are not ‘effective spirits’ rather ‘subjective spirits’. So our graduates need work experience whereas western graduates directly can start working after graduation. This dictates our Politics too for the nation where disruptive power of the individual creates their life rather value directions from which sane politics emanates. |
