Your cousin must first decide in which field of law he is interested in. Law field is very vast than any other known profession in the world. Criminal, Corporate, Civil - Property, Labour, Matrimonial, Companies, Taxation and the list is endless in today's world. Even in each field there are number of branches, such as in criminal law you may specialise in one or two sections only. It is a matter of your own efforts and only a law degree is not sufficient. After graduation in law one needs to learn the practical applications of law as a junior lawyer, grasp a branch then the earnings see no bounds. Now your cousin must concentrate on his studies and then choose the proper field in which he is interested. Law profession does not have ill-effcts of recession, which let him note. Work Hard and become a known lawyer in the branch you are interested in, is the MANTRA. |

Completely agree with Mr.Ashfaq.Whatever he has suggested is absolutely right.Firstly as he said he has to concentrate on his studies and need not worry about the economic condition as it will have little impact on a profession like Law.

Don't worry about job oppurtunities in this industry, believe me there is tremendous oppurtunity with a law degree, even with the financial crisis the oppurtunity of getting job in this field is more than any other, any law graduate with good scores can land up a job which is nearly paying in the range of MBA graduate, so don,t worry about the jobs and the best Job is becoming a Legal consultant, you know that many large corporate organizations, they have a legal department in the company. Corporations have a variety of problems that require them to have an attorney or a team of attorneys on staff. They provide legal consultancy to the company on various issues like labor negotiations, tax law, investment, public releases, product manuals, public announcement notes, public release news and other legal related activities. Your cousin can start his career as a legal consultant to a corporate with his law degree. If he wants to involve in business field with a law degree, then, he should choose a law degree that consists of courses in management or business administration besides the major law's courses. So this is a one such job oppurtunity which is very good for your cousin......I hope this helps.....
