As per the great Sunil Gavaskar have said players should not only be given a life ban but also all the international records of those player should be deleted!!!!!

its plain and simple...get rid of 'em from out television sets.....just as we got rid of azhar, cronje, ijaz and so on...and if its the entire team involved, then let them mull some other occupation rather than playing cricket...
i absolutely agree with my fellow frnds... Serious action only will make such things not to happen again.. This time if the authority does not tk any action then players will never hesitate to repeat it again. If the culprits records are banned their life time effort will go in vain and it would be lesson for other players to think twice b4 indulging themselves into such activities.
I strongly support that players should be banned for life and all their records deleted. Its not just about accepting money and throwing away match. When a match is been played there are millions of people watching either live or in the television, spectators does not like to miss even a single ball and every moment in the game touches their heart and filled with lots of emotions and anxiety. When such thing like match fixing or spot fixing takes place its like cheating the whole country supporting the team. They are the traitors of the country. They should not only be banned from playing cricket, they should be sacked from their jobs which they enjoyed because of cricket.

I mean there should be strict code of conduct from ICC when a match is being played and any player violating should be punished strictly if found doing the same thing again and again then ban them. Then atleast players will stop interacting with these people who are fixing these matches like this, and young talent are being involved in these scandals and please let them develop as good cricketers, ICC should ensure that there is no more match fixing scandals happening from now and if happened people will lose interest in the sport. |

The best thing for ICC should be not just look at profits and try to develop game ethics. Pakistani team is still playing because lot of money revolves around on these matches. The Quote given by ICC `SHOW MUST GO ON` is nothing but LETS NOT STOP MAKING MONEY.
Its just not these matches I feel even IPL is fixed. So many matches are played I have lost count on many trophies are being played for. These matches have nothing to do with PLAYING FOR THE COUNTRY feeling. BCCI and ICC are there to make money and thats it.

I Think why always pakisthan get caught more times is that they are not able to collect enough funds for player to give and this inturn making them to look for alternative. if they provide an opportuinity to get more money for a best players then i dont think this will issue will arise and more over they create a passion to the game rather than scandals. I hope players know the adverse effects of the game then they wont do any unwanted things. |

Its ,"No more a game. Trend turns to be a business- this is a basic concept now among Players". Any amount of code , can not stop this. Because, it is a business. How a code can prevent a man playing willfully ,"NO BALL / WIDE ". Individuals playing pattern can only be controlled by the player AND IN THESE CASES, HE GETS MONEY AND PLAYS AS HE ASKED FOR.THIS CAN NOT BE SEEN OBVIOUSLY BY THE SPECTATORS. But ,the individual knows that he plays purposefully. How this was detected in the match when they were playing. Simply, by masking media reporter as brokers for the spot fixing & the whole event came to light. So, what we learn from this is that every nation is to float spy agents to watch these kind of activities. Not only, in their country but also, in other nation's team. Intelligence gathering is one of the way, to keep them under strict vigillence. This may bring down . I can not say totally. Because Intelligence can also be creased. |
