PM says: Corruption will hit Economic growth

There is something called Lokayukta which you people might have heard of which is and anti corruption cell formed by Government which is working towards unearthing the corrupt officials, which also does Traps, raids, inquiries and then reports it to the Government, but then the government doesn't do anything and many have escaped from the lokayukta net, when they have given every power why not give them the authority even to prosecute them and bring justice for what they have done.

I think government should give all the power to these officials and also set up more CBI courts which holds these proceedings on a regular basis, as corruption is hurting the economic growth of the country, corruption in our country is tarnishing our image. It also discourages investors, who expect fair treatment and transparent dealings.

To avoid corruption citizens can be given power to back fire on demand of bribe, if one can proof that a particular official has demanded a bribe from him/her then they should be paid by that official and this income should be added under the bracket of other incomes to that individual which will be taxable.

One way through which corruption can be curbed is be changing the current system and bringing in more transparency. In this regard most recent step has been  taken by the govt. by appointment former Infoyses CEO Nandan Nilkani in the cabinet ministry to develop a project on issuance of smart card to each individual in the country.

Issuing smart card is the biggest step in curbing corruption and bringing transparency. Smart card will carry all the details about each individual of the country like Name, Pan no., Drving licence bank a/c etc.

Just for exmple, presently govt. allocates fund for people living in below poverty line but hardly 20% of the allocation amount reached to the needy person and 80% of the amount vanished through corruption. After the issuance of smart card govt. will allocate funds directly in the  bank account of BPL People and it makes actual usage of allocated funds.  Apart from this there are other lot of benfits of smard to curb corruption.

We need these kind of ideas and project to bring transparency in the system.

Corruption cannot be eliminated by force. Social compulsions make an officer corrupt. Once these socila compulsions are mitigated like affordable and welfare oriented schooling for Kids to higher level education, low cost weddings, healthcare, transportation, leisure, food etc;. Even after this one should have enough for saving and for contingency spending. This can achieved only if money has purchasing power. Once the purchasing power end of our money management is let hanging with rise in pay corruption won't be reduced. It is inhuman practice to run an economy slopy and ask it's citizen to not to be corrupt. It is an endowment question. Contingent claim economies citzen has opportunities to meet all the social compulsions in the normal income they generate. If any economy cannot provide such opportunities citizen resort to uofficial methods which is something like corruption, extortion, highway thefts and all kinds of social and economic problems we live with here in India.

Surviellence will keep the officials foreboding upon their actions...

Awareness will also keep the officials foreboding towards taking/accepting bribe..

Privatization will really help as we have seen changes and improvements in privatization of banks and electricity..!!

Though all these points are good enough to make a honest country. But Every point has its own limits. I mean, neither giving power will work nor increasing salary will work since, more power will give the corrupt officials more strength and even increasing salary work work since man's brain stops working when money is kept in front of him. He is always hungry for more money. I think, the system should be made more strict and inter official intelligence should be increased. The officials in this task should be selected honest officials without any negative record and they should be directly connected with President or PM and should be working secretly. Any cases found, the corrupt minister should be thrown out of his position immediately and arrested....

Government should introduce a new live channel which should be commercialized on television; wherever they go whatever they do we will be getting know about them, they will be afraid of doing wrong things and things on time as someone might be watching them all the time. This channels can be commercialized for big fishes like CM HM FM and for small officials their can be a live webcam broadcasting near by bus stop or some public place so that they will have fear of being caught by someone even walking on road.

And now why public will help to catch this people because general public will be given a power to put penalty (if one can proof that a particular official person has done a wrong thing then they should be paid by that official person) which will be an extra income to said person.

Our inner Facts:

As India being a highly populated democratic nation which itself spoils the system and makes it difficult for the govt. to manage and live and let others live.

In terms of corruption India stands on the 70^th rank out of 195 countries in the world.

It is easy to identify & classify corruption prone areas. Ask for public opinoin, if in doubt. Create a media cell for open distribution of related information. TV, Newspapers, Radio, Web. Once that is done, demand that the vigilance departments act. All related information should be made public, including disclosures. Corruption exists mostly because of lack of knowledge of processes. Make the government answerable, for not providing adequate information which should be easily accessible. 

The system depends upon how do people react at times, and when does they are forced to do it.. But it's solely upon us to control it..

This would also forebond the officials not to do something which could lead to termination!!

Increase the pay scales of govt officials because its the same from many decades.

Implement a seperate ID (similar to PAN) only for govt officers and even their family members(closer ones).

Not more than one bank account should be permitted for any govt offficer and even his family members.

But Stopping corruption is not so easy.In a local high court itself one can notice that right from  person who puts a STAMP to the judge everyone charge their amount. 

Stopping corruption is just not saying by words or argument.... I feel its a lengthy process . Technology can play a major role. but still.......
