@ Dr. Siva Adarsh,
Stock market is not for me, i was amazed to see such an influential trade happening during my PG days, this idea rose from that.
Mind you this is just and Idea, its form or intricacies can be moderated, changed, developed etc. etc.
My understading Behind this System is very clear,
- i want Educated People to take control of Indian Politics ( which YOu and me will agree is heading No where)
- doing this can curb Corruption to a greater extent.
Phew Prashant!
You must be a share market freak 8-). Sounds really interesting. But then for this to happen, first of all we need to educate each and every citizen of our nation. Only an educated person will be able to judge a candidates performance as to how beneficial it is to him and as well to the nation and buy his shares.
In politics, this will help in identifying ones popularity among the masses. But what about selecting the right candidate for a particular job? will that be first assigned by the committee and then asked from the public as, would they be interested in giving such a post to that individual.
If all political parties assigns who will hold what portfolio before the election begins, then public can decide better even by the present voting system. Similar things happens in colleges where each candidate is contesting for a particular post and if he gets majority he will be in the cabinet irrespective of the party to which he represents. This is what I have seen during my PG studies in Kerala.

Health is one field where our nation stands low. this is partly because the person handling the post is neither aware of the sensitivities and understanding of the requirements of the nation in health scenario. Just like the requirements of Kitchen is best identified by the person manning it. Similarly the health sector development can only be appreciated by a person who has been in that particular field. But merely being in that field doesn't make the person competent to manage the issue on a national scale, this requires the person to have some additional training or qualification to suffice that lacunae. therefore i believe, as far as health portfolio is concerned, the person holding that post should have at least a basic MBBS qualification with experience together with some Administrative training or similar course qualification. |

Education ministers should hold a Phd degree with a sufficient experience in relevant field. Like a principal or director of an educational institute. Where he understand the wants of student and parents. Which will help him to bring some good laws..... which will improve the education system.... |

At least we now have a person in HRD ministry who seems to know and understand the pain and burden that the present generation school children bear.
Its another fact that many of us dont want to accept any change in this section. A debatable issue in itself :-)

ignorance or lack of standard qualification to manage a particular portfolio by a minister might jeopardize any project however beneficial it would be. there should be some basic training for those aspiring politicians to better appreciate the project responsibility handed out to them and illetrate people should not be allowed to enter in political field |

If it requires a PG for any fresher to even get a job these days, why should these people be spared? Honestly, there has to be some scale for these people who lead the nation and are the sole representatives for the country Also I am in with the idea that these people should not be given a chance to be in any post for more than 2 terms giving way for younger people to come in and SHOULD quit the position at mutually agreed superannuation age After all, if experienced MBA's can run an organization WHY CAN THEY NOT RUN A COUNTRY?

Honesty, commitment and leadership qualities are the minimum required qualifications. He need to have a vision, ability to understand the subject is holding as a minister of such ministry. He need not be proficient to hold a ministry. Bureaucracy system is there to help them. |

WE SHOULD IDENTIFY CAPABLE,EXPERIENCED PEOPLE IN PVT SECTOR AS IN THE CASE OF MR. NILEKENI FOR UID IF WE ARE SINCERELY INTERESTED IN BUILDING OUR NATION. |

Like Mr. Nandan N, there are countless number of people who are actually carrying out the ground work.
Mr.Nandan is not holding any portfolio. It is under some ministry ( I am not aware of). its just that his name got highlighted because of media who brought the actual person behind this project. In fact the ministerial person got sidelined at least in this regard.
Similar efforts have been put forward in all other fields, but only the ministry takes the spotlight.
Even our former president Dr. APJ Kalam, also was a scientific advisor to PM and was never known (to general public of his contribution) untill he became president.
8-) He is veteran in that field. But I doubt others can emulate him.
