I want to support your idea.There are more chances of getting habitual for an individual.

Gaming is meant for time pass only, it causes divided attention and you deviate from the main activity of reading, learning especially for students. We never grew by spending hours on gaming and putting your eyes on strain and causing unnecessary emotional vibrations in your brain for attempting to win in the game and we donot feel having lost something because we didnot do gaming.

Playing a game will help you make friends with other people playing that game. Also, if you get to the top of the game (whether chess, tennis, or some computer game) you could use it as a career or a money-generating activity (for instance get medals/trophies, or in the case of some FB games you can sell e-books on that game)

Gaming will increase the ability of the gamer to maintain divided attention. And it's a +ve effect.

Though gaming improves hand-mind coordination, reflexes and dexterity, it takes away the major chunk of time forcing one to be addicted. If one stays within limit giving balanced attention to academic and other aspects such as this, it does enhances one's IQ.

no one wud expect dis!!!but for me through games i have experienced world wars!!d war in iraq etc!!d games r developed according to the real situations these events occured!!the weapons they used,the tactics,the place,missions!!!
for gamers its an experience!!!
