Every person in Sales is compared to a Cow in Real Life. As long as you milk, you are maintained well and the moment you stop milking you are not respected. So it’s important that you have the skills to be an amazing Sales Person and a presenter. I know the qualities will vary from person to person but we can try to create a common ground for all the interested people.

Make the presentation relevant.

One of the most common mistakes people make is to use a generic presentation. They say the same thing in every presentation and hope that something in their presentation will appeal to the prospective customer. I have been victim to this approach more times than I care to remember having been subjected to many “canned” PowerPoint presentations.

Sales Presentation should cover entire product range, market demand for each product, and stretegy of promotion of product, because every day market demands keep on changing your planning and stretegy will change and this will give a new presentation, every time, because we cant change our product range and customers very offen.

I think before giving the presentation, us hould do a lot of R & D in the market in this regard. You should be well acquinted with the latest trends and demands as well as should be prepared for any type of questions

I think, in the case of one to one sales meetings , it is better to use PPTs as a support tool to pass product information. The sales man can have a discussion with the customer to match his products features with the requirements of the customers ! The Sales man should try for a solution sales rather than pushing his products.

sell solutions !

A sales man need not be an aggressive product pusher .He need not speak high funda language and rare usages .Also he need not pretend that this is the most precious service or product the customer can buy !

But he needs to be matured , confident ,simple and an effective communicator. He should have patience for a free discussion with the customer to find out the exact requirements .If the product is not matching with customers requirements and priorities, he can very much suggest the customer to look for some other products! It is better to sell a solution not a problem! This approach will create more confidence in customers and you will end up with better volumes , more prospects through referrals and a quality customer base !!!

Agree with Sajith. Today when sales person meets a customer most of the time, sales person is selling his needs. For e.g When Insurance sales person is selling insurance product and pitching premium of Rs 50,000 my first question is why Rs 50,000 - why not 49,000 or 52000? Most of the time its a Sales Person's Need to sell 50000 because he needs that premium to meet his targets.

Your True Worth is determined by how much more you give to the customer in comparision to the payment you receive...

Be animated.

Energetic, animated, enthusiastic- these are the qualities I look out in a sales presentation. The majority of sales presentations I have heard have been boring and unimaginative. If you really want to stand out from the crowd make sure you demonstrate enthusiasm and energy. Use voice effectively and vary your modulation. A common mistake made when people talk about a product they are very familiar with is to speak in a monotone - causing the other person to quickly lose interest in your presentation.

Agree, use of animated stuff will add value to the way your presentation looks...but also make sure that you should not go overboard with animation and concentrate more on the topic and the content you are presenting.Animation should only be there to make the presentation attractive, not for anything else.

I thing animation is grate in sales.because most of our costumers can't trust us in quality.but with animation & coloring they can't think about anythings & they will buy that thing!

Believe in your product/service.

Without doubt, this is the most critical component of any presentation. I will ask certain questions. When you discuss solutions, do you become more animated and energetic? Does your voice display excitement? Does your body language exhibit your enthusiasm? If not, you need to change your approach. After all, if you can’t get excited about your product, how can you expect your customer to become motivated enough to buy?
