The accedient on the Highway are few but the newspaper contain the news of accident in city so the prevention of road accidents in city so that the life of rest of the people can be saved. The steps like the cheaking of the Driving licences are compurserly if you do not have driving licence you can not drive the vehicle. The tinneger are not allowed to drive the vehicle.

1. The Governments should make the rules and tests for issue of Driving Licences more strict. Issuing of licence should not be simply based on the ability to operate the vehicle, but the aspiring driver should be thorough with the driving rules and all related isuues.
2. There should be more checkings and severe punishments to the drivers who drive carelessly and willfully violate traffic rules.
3. The givernment should take up propagation of driving rules, ill effects of violation of traffic rules and punishments for such things extensively, paricularly on TV and cinema theaters by video clips.

Everymorning we find 2 or 3 Road Accidents cases in India. Accidents may be in city region or on National Highways. Particularly if we talk about accidents on National Highways, where people use to drive vehicles on their own styles, they dont follow the traffic rules. To prevent road accidents on National Highways our Govt can do following: (1) Appoint Check points at the range of 50KM & check each vehicle that driver is drunkard or not (2) Govt can appoint Emergency Medical Police & Fire Service at the range of 10kms like in Gujarat 108 is working. (3) Check points should be opened for 24*7 (4) Strict Punishment for those who break the rules & regulation |

Road safety is based on three 'E's- Engineering, Education and Enforcement. As far as Engineering is concerned, our highway designs are up to the mark as percentage of acidents that occur due to bad roads is only about 5% of the total accidents. The other two 'E's are the things that require more and more attention immedeately.
