Prices of the smartphones as we see that have come down in a year s time. As there is a tough competition every time we come to know of new phone companies which has entered the market. In the few years we have seen that Mobile companies like Micromax, Karbon, Spice, Fly, Lemon, and the China Mobiles which have come into the market . These new companies which have entered the market have much better features than the big players and are priced at a low cost when compared. So this would be the reason for the slashing of the prices of the Smartphones. |

I do agree that the prices of smart phones have comedown, however it is not only because of new entrants in the market, it is because, it is becoming a necessity in life and people cannot live without it .You should also look at how the Inidan economy has been performing beating expectations even during recession. Due to all these factors , people have more income , the demand has increased and certainly companies have increased production and hence price will come down automatically.

The reduction in prices of smartphones is due to the competitive atmosphere now in market and the advancement in this field day by day and those who invest has to get his return today ,a s tomorrow a new or advanced tech may replace and there will not be time to get one's money back

1. As far as smart-phones are concerned...they are in altogether different league.
2. They come with a full fledged OS...
3. They compete with their own previous releases of the OS and as such to position their new version they will slash down the price of their own older versions...that is how it is...
4. Another major thing is to have a thriving app store...if you have unprecedented app store...your prices are high...
