1 Pros & Cons of rejoining your ex-employer.

Pros & Cons of rejoining your ex-employer.

idea posted by Amit N Bhagwat Recruitment Manager

Hi All,

Due bad economy lot of people are jobless & most of them might have joined their ex-employer if they(employer) has a position for them because this was the best option for them ofcourse this again also has some negative & positive points also positive point is you resource need not take time to adjusted to the atmosphere, management knows you, they trust you & so you can start delivering results from day one.

Negative point:

  1. Expectations are high (than normal) this could be negative if in case it takes toll on your health otherwise it is good that managment expects a lot from resource.
  2. Colleagues could take you for granted they might not respect that much until before you left they might not also show trust which could be frustrating a bit.

I am saying this from point of my experience in a mid size company I do not know about it happens in big companies, so I request you all to participate in this idea & put in your own experiences if any would love to hear from all & if anybody has had any experience of this kind.

I believe that there is nothing wrong in re-joining our ex-employer. If our relationship with the management and colleagues are healthy and if we are in a better position than last time, then we can definitely re-join our ex-employer.

It all depends upon the circustances of your earlier exit on the first place. In case you left it with lots of hand shakes and in good taste, then there should not be any reservation in coming back to the same organization as long you are coming in on a higher package and a better profile. Incidently the organization that I come from which is very reputed MNC,has classic examples of exit,re-entry,re-exit & a 2end re-entry...this pattern generally remain  seen imostly in higher management level & at times in the middle management
