Domain Rich

idea posted by Alok Kapoor Project Lead, Satyam Computer Services Ltd
I think he should be a subject matter expert in his requisite domain. If the analyst doesn't peel off his ideas from domain perspective when interacting with the client, the situation is numb. If the analyst is not sure about what the client has a requirement about, development would not be possible on front footage....

Able Communicator

I feel that business analyst should be able communicator in understanding the requirement and passing them on to the development team. It would just be a blind note that everything that comes from the analyst as a requirement goes to development. It would just be a spoilt broth if the functionality developed is not what exactly the requirement is.....

Communication Skills

I could say when comes skills he should have communication skills and the analyst needs to possess excellent communication ability. He represents the company and should never let it go down while interacting with any of the client. Communication skill is not merely to speak fluent language, but right diction at the right time. Also, an analyst has to emphasize on sentence constructions, simple language, avoid jargons, giving insight when customer needs attention.
