It's like Four Mantras for an Engineer.
If one is a good human being, he could be good in anything. I have seen many engineers in govt organisations who never did any engineering work in their career. Our government spend a big amount of money in their education. But it seems that they learn how to sign papers in four years degree. Some of them become postman (only conveyor of information upward or downward). We expect such qualities in an engineer. Thanks for showing the mirror.
Very true & needed for every engineer. Very correctly said, Muhammed.

Barring Engineering Skill, our present day Engineers possess every other skills! Compare Engineers in Fifties and Sixties honestly with the current day Engineers - where do they stand? We had Engineers, viz., Vishveswariah, Homi Bhabha, Vikram Sarabhai, S.A Subramaniam, et al, who have created great things for every Indian to be proud of. Please for God sake, expose and disseminate your Engineering Skill to prove to the world, we are not less in intelligence than anyone in the world!

Engineer are trained to follow an idea systematically. They need to be able to ask if the idea is good before they do that. That involves working in a very cross-disciplinary team and collaborate with designers and economists, users and so on. To do that it is impoartant that they are patent and wait until the ideas has been justified as good by everyone else.
