Having a working forum for HR/Recruitment/Talent Management execs

I often notice forums like ASSOCHAM, FICCI, etc being prominent in reactions to news about the industry and always wondered if we can have a working forum for executives who need help, assistance or just a professional forum to exchange thoughts and ideas. Unlike other platforms, I wanted to seriously look to managers, executives and associates to be part of the forum - encouraging the lower ranks to join, discuss trends, seek support, work together and probably make it a nationwide effort, where the key doesn't lie in networking, but for more productive reasons. Professionals fresh out of college, working in junior or middle management roles rarely have such a platform, barring the online version - Toostep and to a smaller extent, LinkedIn and this might be what the community requires. Any takers? Thoughts? Prefer responses from participants on if this is feasible - I have a small group which is looking at setting this up in Mumbai (as a chapter) and willing the explore if others might be interested. It'll be modeled on the lines of an open community so please feel free to add your thoughts or ideas - I can but help/assist with formalizing this and using my extensive network to spread the word. |
