Creating an awareness of sex and it related implications at a younger age will nullify the curiosity which is otherwise prevailent among the children. This needs to be integrated with the educational system as well so that younger generation is made to know what it is and take the curiosity away - the more open it is the less evil it becomes

I mean not just plain discussion, By having talk I mean discussing things which is more complicated, discussing what sex is all about, though parents feel uncomfortable but they have to do it and imagine when being a parent is causing problems in explaining these things, how would you tell a teacher to do a better job when explaining these things in school if front of the class, its never going to happen, and if parents and elders dont discuss these things, then they head to the easiest place i.e., internet and check these things by themselves and become vulnerable and also check out the porn related content that comes with it, as there will be no supervision or proper guidance in this regard, and they get misled.  Kids should not get misled just because parents were uncomfortable to discuss these things with their kids. If  parents don't talk these things with their kids it will be no surprise that even next year the same word will be the top most searched word & content by kids. 

Its funny that I remember my parents wanted to talk about this when I was young and they struggled like anything and were so uncomfortable and didn't know what they had to do..... But seriously parents should have this talk...

Having the talks: will not solve the problem, but it gives an alert to the parents on what their childern are going to do or are doing..! Not what they should do...!!

Setting Security levels on Browser: will only refrain them from using that PC for surfing.. they will do it more intensily if resisted.. and find another PC at Cybercafe..!

Educating Sex: It's not something to be taught in school..! Childern always have high curiosity for this topic and provoked them to make incorrect moves at an early age!!

What I suggest is to create Awareness, through sessions at concerts / Functions / Fete or Dramatization - for making kids understand the sick side of it... It's causes and effects.. The more they'll get to know about diseases and stories depicting how life turns into hell.. might change their perception and curiosity.

Children however at Home should be treated differently - That's on parental choice.. who-so-ever is more transparent to Kids can explain about it... obviously at a certain age...

The best remedy for this is YOG, this should certainly be a part of our Educational System.

The effects of doing Yoga is we get refrained from getting negative thoughts and gets automatically diverted from such topics..!! This is proven fact..

Yoga will make them fit and disease free and children will never have to ask for any sexual problems.. hence reducing the interest and searching any hot topics from Internet!!

You must set the internet security levels to high if your child is using the net after you leave for work! Also try and block cookies to keep the computer from getting attacked by trojans or other deadly worms that are known to come from visiting such sites. Apart from that I support what Balaji has commented!!

to me its one of the basic question not only with kids.....but to all humanity...........

Evey elder is trying to stop his junior from seeing into or discussing about or being a part of anything touching SEX.....on the contrary same elder is looking upon all available avenues to do the same thing with all Genuineness and efforts...

No ....its no the question raised about the kids...who are looking something on Internet....but it should be a question upon all humanity..You raise you eyes and u will find the human mind simply full of dirt behind it..........before saying anything further.....One should ask him/herself first....about his.her authenticity....that whether.....he is truth to himself on this issue..... or not

For me i see a lack of something...somewhere...in the whole consciousness of human mind.....

We have whole world specially Indian history with us .....always supporting and speaking on Peace, Love , Tranquility, Respect to ladies , seeing them as mother divine and so on and on and on............but for thousands and thousands of years .....our history is full of War, fights, lust, sex , greed and alike issues.....

Somewhere.... something.....in each human life is there ....which is not contended and fulfilled......

Though its an endless issue to discuss in the light of morality or cultural or religious grounds ........but if somebody really wants go deep down in finding the answer.......has to accept his/her own authenticity .......and

has to ask self ......

Why the whole society is so much full of SEX and its related stuff???.........why every man is looking upon the girl next to him with lust and only lust?????.....why sex is so badly condemned by our religions and society and linked with human values?????? Why sex has not been accepted with its true beauty and love..?????? 

In my opinion, this can be minimized only by engaging kids in various activates especially when they are very young.  “Catch them Young”. Engage them in cultural activities and in sports. While they are growing start involving kids in more and more in spiritual and social activities may be when they start going to high school. Spend lot of time with them, give lot of love.

Some of the reasons I think for these trends especially in countries like India is lack of education and also we are now in a total confusion state where we are neither traditional nor so called modern.  We don’t know whether we should opt for undivided family system or divided family system.

If the parents spend much time with children, they will be busy in doing or talking about good things. So their thoghts about sex may get reduced.

well sex n porn are not only d most searched topics over internet but they also top in most discussed topics among children actually it is d phase through which v all passes in our life so there is no need to panic but what they really need is a proper guidance from parents, elders n etc and there is also one thing that parents should do that they support and encourage them in their hobbies mostly outdoors like sports etc...................

Now a days children have many influences around their environment. How the children below 18 are searching these things is an important question? Even the children with out any internet knowledge in small towns are knowing these things how?I want to explain a real incident of my life . I once playing cricket with small children who are studying around 6th or 7th standard.i had taken a catch of one guy.The boy who had taken the wicket shouted f*** u and showed his middle finger . i was astonished to see that and asked him what u know about this his answer was really surprised me that i did not want to explain it here ,but he knows each and every thing. later i came to realise that THE CINEMA , THE T.V ,THE LOVERS who are talking or mimicing in the same park where we have played what not every thing are increasing their curiosity in knowing those things.

I said this idea because children will be more attracted to music than any thing else.From the day of their birth itself the children will stare at the different sounds made by the people around him and he will attracted to those who makes good music .I am saying this because i have watched several children from 3 to 5 years of age when we are watchin the TV the child plays in his own manner when a good song or music comes up the baby suddenly drops what he was doing and stare at the TV with high curiosity. Along with this music will make them sensual rather than harsh behaviour.

yes sex is the most common topic discussed by youngsters.In INDIA ,it was  not a openly debated topic .we are changing .Openness to such topics have increased the curiosity to know more about sex in childrens mind.I really dont understand why every parent is so curious to know what his son/daughter think about sex.i mean yes they should be but should always remember that they use to be the same at their childrens age.So  they pretty well know what should be done to stop children going the wrong way.Spend time with your child,be open,keep them busy in activities they like. Be there to guide or debate on a topic the proper way,so that he do not need to find out answers from other sources.

Any topic inorder to be understood & appreciated by a kid should be based on real life examples & incidents. Simply dictating dogmatic principles will not work. One of the best methods in this regard is the psychological approach which will be different for different kids. The real life examples provided should be specific to that kid's emotional and social background. Proper scientific reasoning should be provided. But it should be borne in mind that any sort of method should interfere with the kid's sense of freedom & independence. Monitoring by parents should be completely avoided since it can lead to the kid becoming rebellious in which case the situation will turn more complicated.

once the reproductory organ is ready it is a biologic need that gets activated. there is also a level of curiosity and now there are means to satisfy the curiosity.

sex is natural and not a mistake, the mistake is the conditioned guilt that we have learnt to develop about  it.

studies show that until christain missionaries converted people in thenorth east where there were no sexual restriction sexual and domestic crimes were nil.

This is also one of the social problem arisen from technological advancement.  

Children searching for sex on internet is out of their curiosity.  They are curious of even more things which are dangerous.  This phenomenon in unstoppable.  If they are restricted at home, they will do it from their friends home or from an public internet cafe, or from a cell phone - they will find some or the other way out but they will access it.

We are just at the tip of the iceberg.  There are much more sophisticated technologies coming, that too in internet, computers, mobile and gaming technology that are going to have much worse impact on children.  

So people its not only about one word SEX, that the children are getting exposed to that needs to be addressed, but a lot more than that.  

Global guidelines and rules needs to be put in place before any technologically revolutionary product is going to be launched.  Please note we are going towards the next generation Search Engine technology, which includes face detection, global positioning on realtime basis, real-time emailing, real-time audio-video exchange which gets indexed by search engines within seconds of going live (uploaded) etc.,

If these guidelines are not worked upon with seriousness by Governments and Technology Giants, and adopted by societies, they end up in creating a whole new generation of technological maniacs who not only loose innocence in early childhood rather can result in serious human behavioural change globally with more misuse than use, especially in the under 18 age group.

Many of parents don't have knowledge about sex. Many don't know internet. Many don't know what types of contents are on internet i.e.  they may don't know there are contents abt sex or internet. So I think parents should educated first abt sex, internet and sex on internet and then let them to educate their spouse abt sex and how to use internet for knowledge instead of seeing only sex contents. Also don't forget fact sex is reality of our life and in Vedas there is 'sex education' also

It is disgusting to see parents fumble when they have to talk to kids about sex. I mean sex is something that most adults have spent their lives thinking of. And suddenly it becomes bad or unworthy for discussion when it comes to kids. 

The first wrong step most parents take is telling their kids that they were brought by the stork, or brought or bought from a hospital/marketplace. That is when the lies start and then continue forever. Suddenly when the child is smart enough to understand that their parents are fibbing, the parents do not know how to look into their kid's eyes. The guilt of having lied transforms to the fact that they were indeed somehow ashamed about telling them the truth and that sex is something to be ashamed of. Hence the discomfort.

If one starts in the right direction by telling that the kid came mama's stomach, the continuity in education can be maintained and can be kept much more discrete. What's more, if parents tell the truth they can expect the same from their children who will then not hesitate to come and ask them more questions.

Also government should take strict action against illegal cyber cafe & web site.

The majority of the people they are spending their time to chat through internet.But they dont know they are trapping.They become more addict.The reason is that lack of good education.

It is compulsory in education and before school teacher, parents avers about sex to their kids.

NO! Leave our educational system how it was since oldies as far as sex education is concerned. The hormones with the Teens will naturally learns and they doesn't involve such activities. One can make note of how this generation is free of worries about sex and hence it is always a better way of learning in a natural way.

Although I have already written on this and most of it that I wrote has been endorsed by most of the commentators. Yet I find one point which is as important as the rest is the imparting of moral education to the children also along with the sex knowledge. They have to be taught why it would be for their own benefit and welfare that they postpone the active sex till a reasonable age so that they can devote their teenage to the acquiring of knowledge and skills for their life. If they start with sex earlier, it may dissipate their energies for something for which they can wait somewhat, i.e., the sex. It was mainly this reason why brahmacharya was advised during the first, out of the four phases of life. The concept is as valid today as it was in the ancient times.Such education would also include why the rapes, molestation etc are bad for the person even thinking about the same.It is always best to remain 'cool' during this first phase of life.
