On their website the corporates should open an open forum that gives the liberty for a user to write his / her experience of the brand / products. The customer log would be an eye opener and also the info about who the customer is would increase the corporates reach to the consumer directly. It enhances the brnads chances for survival, it gives knowledge about any rectifications that need be done, it also creates a camaraderie between the consumer and the corporate for retaining the consumers interest levels in the brand / product while attaching miles of emotions with them!! The connect is undeniable strong. What do you guys say? please visit http://mbhavecorpblog.wetpaint.com where I have penned my thoughts already! |

Trust me, we had been running Blogs for few processes in our BPO and it made wonders for the process, by making agents read solutions, get answers from their team leads, managers and everything is so transparent that we can even choose a set of expertise for all relevant topics for that process.. So overall it was another value add from us to our client..!! It really works!! Cheers!
Thanks Deepak. It is a great platform definitely!! :)
Corporate bog a great idea!!! I think any one who is associated with the company directly or indirectly can share his ideas or provide feedback.
It will be a great platform where everyone like investors/customers/Debtors/visitors/ can see and share his/her point of view about the company. I think it will bring more transparency.

Very true Makrand...... Definitely having a blog makes an excellent place to manage your online reputation. I have seen very few companies doing that rather they should build a Corporate web 2.0 like this TooStep platform bcoz we have all seen it happen: a company gets big and loses touch with its users/customers/visitors. With a Corporate Web 2.0 - you are in touch with your most passionate visitors. They form a exclusive natural community. What better way to find out what your customers think about you, want from you and want to tell you? Be ready for negative comments also & have a damage control mechanism. This is the way to go for corporates but don’t blog because all the other players are doing it. Don’t blog because it’s working for other companies. Blog because it’s right for your company because you need it. Earlier in similar kind of Idea Contest I mentioned - It is all about Social Media Ecology and Engagement Lifecycle to get success...... |

Definitely a great thought.Blog is a personal outlet to vent their rants and raves, dislikes, opinions, and reactions. Studies from the Technorat states that only 39% have professional blogs and this tend to increase as the blogs are proving more influential amongst viewers.
Professional blogs would be a great platfrom to learn and expand our horizon and a learning experience.
I completely second your last statement!! Thanks a lot!

The benefits of blogging are various. A well written and up-to-date blog can be an important part of your company’s communication, it strengthens the brand and through it you can create relationships with customers, journalists, investors, employees and other target groups. By blogging you also have a chance to not only part take but also lead discussions and position your company as thought-leader and expert in your business field. The blog is a complement to other forms of communication like the corporate web site, press releases and white papers, but it is a more informal way of presenting information. A press release has to be proof read, approved and sent at the exact the right time, and there is no way to undo and correct it once it has been sent. A blog post can always be edited and added on later. The content of the corporate websites is often pretty static with the same information posted month after month, with the exception of some press releases and news items. By adding one or a couple of blogs the corporate site is frequently updated on its content. Aside from alluring interested visitors back to your site the blog format is also a great advantage when it comes to search engine optimization. Google likes blogs! In the end, one of the most important benefits of having a corporate blog is that it facilitates and encourages two-way communication. Get feedback from you customers in the product development phase, listen to your fellow experts in the business and acknowledge what people are saying about your company, all in your own blog comment field. |

Blogging is the style by which corporates can market themselves. They can promote themselves by writing about them in the blog...
Thanks Mihir, you have adequately explained the process and I am sure people would understand. Thanks once agin for being here.

Of course corporate managers should blog, but how many of them are honest bloggers? Most of the time we decide whether an issue is right or wrong in our minds and manipulate reality. |
