You have come up with an interesting topic Gargi, i would like to add an idea too. Give the team a sense of control, something to do, to make a difference, even if it’s small. Delegate the work among the team. In crisis, leaders must sure that everyone in the team is focused and engaged. The leader must maintaine a positive work environment in which the truth can be told, and in rotating personnel and transfers. |

During tough times the business & process do undergo changes & this might require different approach & methodology. It is very important for the leader to convey hte same message & ensure that hte transition is smooth also the he needs to take care of his employees.
Delegating is an important feature of leadership. If it is not done and a person does the job alone, he is a performer and not a leader. Delegation and team focus are good characteristics of a leadership.
More and more delegation would be a nurturing. This is also a good leadership potential.
Nurturing, Focus and Delegation gives better results for a project leader.

Gargi really a good topic to start. I would like to mention that Leader should be the Idol for the team by performing and guiding the team in the right way. The Leader should be supportive, maintaining each individual's sense of personal worth and importance. The relationship between the team and the lead should be one of the reciprocal support to joint commitment to success. |

The team which looks for support during tough times would love to see their leader confident and determined. |

As leaders, these are times that require sacrifice, hard work, and perseverance. There must be a collective hard work from each and every members of the team, especially the leaders. No one’s going to put in the extra effort if they see their leaders coasting. Leadres have to lead by own examples. |

I think in challenging times leader should be more proactive and apart from delegating work should also get invovle in day to day affairs as every company prunes team size.

During the tough times, the team is expected to perform better and it is the responsibility of leader to convey the situation in right manner to his team than going panic with the pressure he has at the top level.Feedback helps the leader to ensure that the team is working in sync with the expectations. Moreover,it is also important for him to keep the transperancy in all matters. Any decision taken in the light of tough times need to be informed to the team through proper channel in well advance so that the transitions are smooth and the resource also gets some time to settle.Net,the leader needs to be very strategic and keep his cool in challenging times. |

In difficult times, a leader will have to find a slot, initially, with a high probability of success. A positive work environment can be built, while working on this project, which will inspire confidence in their own abilities, as well as the leader's abilities. This spirit will then, help to carry forward the team on difficult projects, if the motivation can be maintained. It prevents people opting out of the battle midway, as they do not see success ahead. |
