These days, while handset makers, chip makers and service providers are all flourishing from the rapid growth of smartphones such as Apple Inc's iPhone, operators are being left to fund the related improvements needed in network capabilities, while pondering how to make a profit. It seems, if we don't start conserving that bandwidth now, in the next few years we are going to run into a capacity crunch.

So users what do you think, should be done to deal with this problem?

Less bandwidth guzzling products should be developed

idea posted by Sonal Singh Project Manager, Nortel Networks

A packed auditorium should be introduced for delivery of services from operators and the two sides should work together. Smartphone manufacturers must develop less bandwidth-guzzling products or risk choking already congested airwaves.
