Employees feel that the Management is not Transparent to them and they hide Information. Employees feel Isolated. In order to prevent this, It is Important that the Company's Goals , Plans and Objectives are shared to the employees through some workshops & Presentations. During those presentations Suggestions and Recommendations should be welcome. Any Suggestions that are beneficial should be considered. This would make them feel their importance and ownership is encouraged. Productivity should be Rewarded and Success should be shared with Employees BOTTOM LINE IS : SHARE THE VISION, SHARE THE RESPONSIBILITY, SHARE THE GLORY

I agree with Mr. Ranjith. SHARING the Vision-Mission-Responsibilities-GLORY with all who is INVOLVED is all that matters. If you allow somebody to feel GREAT about something that they perform, then, the effort from their side will definitely be the BEST! Knowledge is power. Provide the right knowledge at the right time to the right person in the right quantity and quality, then definitely you will bound to get the right results.
I Agree
Yes the management hides certain information with the employee which affects the overall performance of the employee. Once the management shares certain information that are related to employee, the employee can feel comfortable and work well without worrying.
If the organisation/company can share the objective with the employee and ask for there contribution employee will be greatly motivated by this...

A retreat doesn't have to be complicated. Just the act of getting out of the office for a day will often recharge employees.

A motivational speaker can be a great way to motivate employees, The best bet is usually a speaker who's has some experience specifically motivating employees. They can always tailor their message to your company, but a professional motivational speaker will most likely have a variety of tools, from anecdotes to humor to hold a group's attention.

I support this idea too but it is very improtant that this motivational speaker is capable of brining out the real value of each individual rather than just walk in with a bag of goodies. At times, just tools and humor wo'nt bring lasting effects.
People need hard facts that will enable them to stay motivated. Inspirational speeches and humor can only travel so far. It is time organizations looked at the kind of motivation their employees of every calibre get from such sessions too.
yes a Motivational Speaker is very much needed in every company...

It is very important to understand the need and desire of empoyees. It is not necessary that every demand or need of empoyees is to accept. But listening them and if fine then completing there needs can bring them more closer towards there work and goals of company. Also every person has different way of thinking, doing work and many more qualities understand them and devide the work accordingly, as they can give there best. sachin |

capability versus conduct. Engrossed upon individual deliverance can be a highly succesful key factor into what makes your employees tick! Encouraging that there dreams are not far away and through personalising development for each member of your team is essential. Performance managing individual team members can lead to a very positive result in their work ethic and also increase their productivity. Each team member is unique, their goals also, so as a good manager yo also need to be a good coach and a good teacher.

Good ideas written here by many experienced persons.. I want to add one more idea; To change & maintain the working environment as more rewards for those employees who will do his accurate work on time... Rewards can be monetary or in the form of any small gift.. So that employees encourage to do work timely.. & working environment converts into competitive but productive work.... |

Some of the big leaders and CEO feel that if we change the colours of working area, or lights or something new to their working area, this gives an impression to the workers that the company cares for us. This improves the productivity and is also a motivational factor also. This technique is adopted by many good companies

There's a simple secret all businesses need to learn in order to increase sales and productivity. Happy, motivated employees are good employees. Most of the time, it doesn't even matter what the job is or what the company does. If employees are motivated and feel like they're taken care of by management, the company's productivity increases. Three easy ways for a company to motivate employees are hiring a motivational speaker, taking employees on a company retreat and starting an incentive program. Hiring A Motivational Speaker A motivational speaker can be a great way to motivate employees, but choosing one can be a daunting task. How do you know if you're getting a good one? First, decide how your message should be delivered. Do you want an expert in your field or do you want someone who's specially trained in motivating employees? The best bet is usually a speaker who's has some experience specifically motivating employees. They can always tailor their message to your company, but a professional motivational speaker will most likely have a variety of tools, from anecdotes to humor to hold a group's attention. Don't be afraid to ask for and check references. A professional motivational speaker will have a list of past clients and be willing to share them with a potential client. Also, ask to see a video recording of a past speech. Taking Employees On A Company Retreat A retreat doesn't have to be complicated. Just the act of getting out of the office for a day will often recharge employees. A keynote speaker to bring everyone together at the beginning and the end of the day will foster great communication. Be sure to plan lots of different team building activities for employees and break them out in small groups to talk about positive and negative employee issues and how they can be improved. A good keynote speaker should have some ideas that go along with his or her speech. Starting An Incentive Program At your retreat, have your keynote speaker lay out a new employee incentive program. If you're stuck on ideas, ask your motivational speaker for things they've seen work in other workplaces. One simple incentive program is a public thank you to employees. It works like this. Provide blank post cards to each employee. If someone else helped them in any way, ask them to write a little note of thanks on the card. Cards can then be posted in a public place for everyone to read. At the end of the month, collect all the cards and have a drawing for one prize winner. The prize can be something as simple as a gift card to a local lunch spot or an extra hour of vacation pay. Then, all cards can be given to the person they were for. It's a simple way to make employees feel like a team and doesn't cost a lot to start up or maintain. Starting with a motivational speaker, there are hundreds of ways companies can motivate their employees to be at their best. Motivated employees will be the backbone of your company and are well worth their weight in gold. |

1. Reward Employees Quickly:When you see an employee doing something of which you approve, take time out of your day to complement his work ethic, innovation, initiative or whatever other quality you admire. Employees are more likely to repeat positive behavior when they are praised quickly for them. 2. Develop an Employee Motivation Strategy The reality is that employees motivate themselves, but employers must give them the tools with which to move forward. If they know that they might be rewarded with a promotion or a raise, it is likely they will do everything in their power to satisfy the boss. Employee motivation is about developing a relevant, actionable strategy that leads to results. 3. Show Recognition For example, Employee of the Month programs are used so universally for a reason. The recognized employee gets his name in the company newsletter and his picture on the plaque by the reception desk. This type of employee motivation demonstrates that you are not afraid to show off staff members who care enough to set an example. 4. Give Employees a Choice Other employees feel motivated by career challenge, servitude, creativity, financial stability or independence in the workplace. To achieve employee motivation, you must be willing to stay flexible in the types of employee motivation rewards you dole out to staffers. Your ability to do this is influenced directly by how well you know your employees. If you don't know their names or what their lives are like, it is doubtful you will have much success in employee motivation unless you provide a choice when rewarding employees for a job well done. 5. Get Creative For example, if your employees are divided up into teams for various projects, you can award a pizza party to the team that accomplishes its goals the fastest. There are also small ways in which you can improve employee motivation, such as advocating for employees who initiate change and coaching individual employees who seek promotion or raises. The bottom line, however, is that you cannot improve employee motivation if you don't care about your employees. It is absolutely essential that you show concern for each individual staff member, and that you go to bat for them as often as possible. Employees will be more motivated when they feel they are part of an allied team rather than enemies on opposite sides of a boardroom table. Show them that their opinions, ideas, fears, beliefs and work ethic matter - employee motivation will skyrocket. |

One of the strategies to motivate employee is to by listening to what they want to say. It will make them feel that we are interested in what an employee has to say and which in turn will increase the productivity. Listening to their complains will help us to know where the company is lagging behind in treating the employee...
