Generation Y or "Millennials  can be seen starting anywhere from the second half of the 1970s to the early '80s, and can end anywhere from the mid 1990s to around the year 2000.

What strategy will you use to motivate Millennials (Gen Y) ?

In what ways will you motivate ??

Flexibilty

idea posted by Gargi Sinha Senior Consultant, Hewitt Associates
I think Generation Y should be provided flexibility in working because they grew up in flexible times and as adolescents they had a lot of say over their world. They want say in everything from benefits to scheduling to the option of telecommuting. Generation Y expects work to accommodate their personal and family life.If they are given flexibility, they can do wonders for the organisation. Thats what I believe.

Cutting EdgeTechnology

You can motivate millennials by structuring their works so that it is congruent with (technology)how they grew up. We all know Gen Y grew up using computer, ipods and lots of other gadgets and they might expect the same thing to be used when they work. If we can make use of cutting edge technology when communicating with them and allowing them to use such technology ( internet) and also providing training thought video clips and so on.

This will surely motivate them.

Frequent Feedbacks

I believe that feedbacks will sure help to motivate them. Generation Y workforce or employees need their superiors to provide them with immediate and clear feedback at regular intervals.

So always remember to give frequent feedback now and then.
