Adolescents shall make aware about the advantages, disadvantages and its consequenses, if they can able to know these, they will definitly understand good and bad sides of it. Parents should take care of their child primarily by close watch, whenever we find that the children gets deviated from good to bad advise them not to be so, make them understand its bad effects. |

Yes this is correct..Every body should be informed and learn about the problems and consequences of internet addiction.
yups very true self awareness and self control is the best remedy for any thing because you can better understand your problems and only you can solve them in a better way.A person should know its pros and cons and try to use internet in a better way just to explore information that is usefull for us dnt get addicted because we human being make technologies they dont make us so dont give them chance to waste your precious time.

If, as the respected professor says, 'even people like us' are grappling with the same issue, how can we pave way for others, less experienced in what we call life. I think, any addiction has just one remedy, SELF RESTRAIN. First we should set the example ourselves to guide the younger generations. |

All gadgets come with a user manual to GUIDE you thorugh the "how to..." part! Internet in many ways is like a gadget that has many possibilities and utilities. I suggest a USER MANUAL to be set for the uage of this explosive medium. Addiction is because it is also the medium where you can seek "INSTANT GRATIFICATION" and can get it!! So there has to be set rule for which you need to put down the stpes to follow. Also, you have to set certian security bars that woulds automatically permit certain cookies and block some that need to be... When you yourself throw caution to the winds and then to keep your pleasure intact you tend to overlook key issues in safe guarding the surfing experience!! Very interesting point of debate.. |

As the teenagers, professionals and many of us are addicted to internet, we had lost interaction with our family, the loved ones, the children, there is hardly any time available to just share and interact with our own members and especially the loved ones, especially in the middle class families where the spouse is a house wife and the children are so young who can not access the internet of if it a joint family or if the parents are old enough and would like to chat with their loved ones and even the pet animals at home, they would loose their good time to share anything unless we change our addiction and sit in front of system with internet for a very long time!! as there is less sharing or interaction, there are chances of more self damage and depression? i think this would bring some relief or change! |

if kids would be made to involve themselves with physical enviornment around them like recreational and group activities , friend zones ,family outings or good books or comics.such an activities would distort their attention from internet b'coz kids will feel more engrossed in these rather then a virtual enviornment.as far as adults are concerned they really need counseling or make over to win friends in real world or subscribe themselves to 10 to 12 mags or newspapers so as to indulge in them..now pls don't ask for the ways to moral police the publication one prefers.. |

As far as possible, sites responsible for self harm should be locked so that nobody can enter these sites without proper verification. |

We must learn "When and Why to use INTERNET" Internet has become integral part of our life, like other elements which we use in our normal day to day life. And also we do have all the freedom in it than we don't persist in our normal life. NO RULES, which paves us way for addiction. |

one's life always comes back to the basics,so golden rule is one should be focussed enough to know what is his/her priority.no doubt as choices are many so the confusion is likely to happen.we can't blame net as it serves as a impotant tool for communication.one should allot some time for these sctivities like chatting, gaming etc.enjoy all.

Teenagers should be properly educated about which sites to visit and which not to from their childhood. We cannot stop them from surfing but at least we should have a supervision on their activities online. |

when we talk about guiding youngsters about which site to surf on and to which not.why we tend to forget the human tendency to curiously jumping onto prohibited stimuli.if we take an honest look around wherever the word *RESTRICTED* attracts most of the attention .the point is that besides of handing them list of "do's and don'ts" one should instead encourage communication.
