Shawshank Redemption is one of the classic of the classics. The movie is Thrilling, Unpredictable, Exaggerating and Beautiful. This is the best in my favorites. |

All these movies are popular and one must like to watch them before die but I think Coach Carter should also be added in this list.

The songs too contribute to the narrative. The lyrics are sheer poetry. I know-I know, that's what they are supposed to be, but can't remember the last time lyrics brought me to tears. "mein kabhi batlaata nahi" kept me speechless (and we all know how difficult that is!). And rock-style guitar strumming to a kids' song - that's what I call creative. |

Great movie. Loved the attention it brought to dyslexia, and the lessons about nourishing a childhood rather than simply focussing on marks. 3 Idiots is another movie that I loved which emphasized loving what you do rather than the salary bit.

Hamen bacchon ko bhavishya dena hai naa ki apni apekshayen puri karne ke liye unka istemaal(use) karna hai. Bas yahi sach hai jo ki is film mein dikhaya gaya hai. Isiliye yeh meri manpasand movie hai.

Its actually 'In pursuit of Happiness'. An excellent movie of poverty stricken insurance salesmen trying to raise his kid after his wife ditches them, struggling to meet ends, with determination and hard work raises from ashes to set up his own corporation... truly a marvelous movie with a heart rendering storyline.

I think this has to be the best movie which I have watched ever....Russel crowe playing the role of a professor but who is also a schizophrenic patient and how he overcomes his fears and the illusion of people whom he will be seeing all his life....he won Oscar for the best actor and Ron Howard the director winning for the best director......It was one movie which made me feel in awe of movie making capabilities by people like them.

I love this movie. It's really great. It taught us that we can understand the deepest voice of heart without a bit of noise. A complete silent movie and a masterpiece for people in all languages.

Does it remain with you for days, weeks, months and years on after you watch it for the first time? The same parameters go for the BEST BOOK IN ONE'S LIFETIME too. My best book is VAISHALI KI NAGAR VADHU by Acharya Chatur Sen. My vote for the best movie goes to ANAND by Hrishikesh Mukherjee.

This movie has got all the factors needed for making it a super-hit one. The movie is based on the theme of murders and is actually surprising story overall. Good-natured astronomer Sam is devastated when the love of his life, Linda, leaves him for a suave Frenchman named Anton. Finding oneself lost in the wilderness and the journey to get back home again. The entire movie "Cast Away" is an excellent portrayal of loneliness and our need for relationship. The scene just before Tom Hanks is rescued from his raft shows the dilemna of whether he should risk his life to save "Wilson" (his only friend - volleyball). A very moving portrayal of how important relationship is to mankind
